My Little Birthday Girl Takes Chicago!

We're not falling into the third kid gets screwed on parties over here!  This little girl got to go to the American Girl store.  The kids didn't want to do much shopping after we bought their toys, but I made a quick stop to take these cute pictures of my girl.

Tillie wore a DreamSpun dress and Adorable Essentials ruffle pants.  Teddy wore Carter's skinny jeans and a Gap tee.

Birthday Party Girls!

We had a shared party for the girls tonight.  I didn't get great pictures of the outfits, but we had a lot of fun.

Bebe's birthday outfit is a Mini-Boden dress I bought with a voucher a friend gave me.  Her Dear Grace & Parker party hat was from a sale last December.  I love the hat so much.

Tillie kind of wanted to wear a bunny dress as well, so I went up to the attic to see if her 3-4 Mini-Boden dress still fit.  It did!  I was kind of shocked.  It's not even too tight around the arms.

Not to be left out, Teddy wore his Gap "Bunny Dog" shirt.

Mall Errands

The two littles and I had breakfast at Panera this morning since we had some errands to run at the mall.  Beatrix wore an Old Navy bodysuite, KPea knot top(50% at Village Kids!), Gap skinny jeans, See Kai Run mary janes and a Dear Grace & Parker pinwheel headband.

Ted-Ted wore a Mini-Boden robot tee, gray Carter's skinny jeans and TOMS.

Colorblock and Stripes

I found this Gap Primary School dress at Once Upon a Child last week.  They had it marked as a top instead of a dress, so it was about half the price they would normally sell dresses for.  Also, it's only from last fall so it's still pretty new in the kids clothes world!

St. Patrick's Day!

50* Means Spring Clothes!

Sure, it was still 30* when we left for church, but the sun was out!  At least I haven't made them start posing for pictures outside.  Soon, though...

Beatrix is wearing a Janie & Jack Sweet Coral Reef dress($1 at OUAC) and Janie & Jack Tea Time cardigan(came with a swing top set from OUAC).  Her Circo shoes were Tillie's Easter shoes.  Her felt bow is a new design from Dear Grace and Parker that I clipped on a velvet headband.  

Tillie's outfit is a good example of how inexpensive pieces come together for a great looking outfit!  Her dress I bought yesterday at H&M for $5.  That's the regular price.  I bought the Boden "pretty cardigan" for $8 at a JBF sale last week.  (Here's a cute one for $10 at H&M.)  Her crewcuts necklace was a hand-me-down from my sister, but it's not hard to find inexpensive cute necklaces for girls.  Her Circo cat shoes I got on clearance last year for $5.  Silver shoes are awesome because they match so much!  Tillie picked out the yellow bow, since there are some yellow flowers on the dress.  I like that she picked that over pink or purple.  It's a little unexpected and really makes the outfit,  I think.

Children's Museum!

My cousin had some extra passes to the Children's Museum that expire tomorrow that she couldn't use.  We happily took them off her hands!  It had been about a year since my kids had last visited and they were so excited.

March is the Hardest Month

No one wants to wear winter clothes anymore, but it's still too cold for spring outfits.

The girls are in Matilda Jane today.  Tillie's wearing the Westside 'Molly the Envy' skirt with a Gap tee, crewcuts tulle skirt and necklace, boutique knee socks and OshKosh shoes.  Beatrix is wearing the April knot dress(why I didn't put her in the Abbi knot dress that's from the same line as Tillie's skirt I'll never know) with a Cherokee layering tee, Gap eyelet socks and Livie & Luca Minnies.

Girl Swirl!

Tillie just left for her first dance -- a Daddy-Daughter Dance at school.  She wore a boutique dress from Polka Dot Pearl, Gap cardigan, crewcuts flats and necklace and a Dear Grace & Parker glitter clip.

I asked her how she wanted her hair, and she didn't know, but maybe a bun.  When I suggested trying a curly kind of bun she decided she just wanted curls with a clip.  I let her wear lipgloss and blush, too.

Sweet Pink Dress

I bought this Gymboree Holiday Teddy Bears dress when I was pregnant with Teddy.  Well he never wore it.  It's a 12-18m, so I thought it would be okay on Bea and probably wouldn't fit next summer.  I think the pink is a little too pale for her, but it is such a sweet dress.

Pops of Neon Orange

Yeah, I know.  It's a pretty weird color to tie my kids outfits together with, but that's the way we roll in never-ending winter.

I don't know if Tim was just agreeing with me because he knew I wanted him to or not, but we're both sad that I won't be able to get matching Naartjie for the girls anymore.  Their bows are Dear Grace & Parker

Just For Fun

This morning I just couldn't deal with winter clothes, so I pulled out this Georgia Grace top.  It's a 6m, but seemed really wide so I wondered if it still fit.  It does! Just, but it worked with Gap jeans this morning.  (Until she spilled something all over it and I had to change her.)

Day 5

I love these Old Navy dresses.  Tillie's wearing hers with Gap skinny jeans.  Bea wore matching Old Navy heart tights when we went to Costco.

Teddy's GQ pose is all his own. (Even though this pic is blurry I had to choose it.)  He's wearing a Carter's tee with Gap Playtime Favorites striped pants.  He wore red and navy striped socks with his TOMS to Costco.

Day 4

Today we have Ted in a Hanna Andersson XOXO tee and Next lined star cuff jeans.  (These are his favorite jeans.)  Beatrix is wearing an Old Navy bodysuit that says "owl be your valentine" with Gap skinny jeans and socks.  We managed to lose a sock at Target, so this is their last picture.

Valentine Preview

They're so cute and coordinated that I had to get at least more than one wear in before Valentine's Day!

When Tillie was a baby Valentine's Day fell on a Sunday. I had a outfit for two for her, but of course I had to get her a new dress! This year, it fits Beatrix.

Last spring at a consignment sale I found the same dress in a 5t. I couldn't believe it! How random to find a 4 year old Old Navy dress in good condition.

Bea's tights are Old Navy and Tillie's are crewcuts. They're both wearing Dear Grace & Parker felt bows. Tillie's shoes are Circo(Target) and Bea's are Gymboree(hand-me-down from Til.)

Uninspired Sunday

Usually there's at least one outfit I'm excited about my kids wearing to church.  Today was not one of those days.  Dressing for mid-January is the worst.  Christmas is over so holiday outfits are out and it's way too soon(and cold) for new spring things.  It's also to early for Valentine's inspired outfits.  So, this is what I came up with for today.

Tillie's wearing a Next dress. Gap Surf tank, Old Navy leggings, Jumping Bean boots and a Dreamspun bow.

Teddy's wearing a Janie & Jack cardigan, Gap button-up, Gap skinny jeans and navy TOMS.

Christmas Day!

The kids have all worn their Christmas outfits quite a few times this season, but I was able to shake up Beatrix and Teddy's outfits a bit.

Teddy really wanted to wear his "doggy shirt that says off to Grandma's", but it was dirty and in the wash because he wore it on Christmas Eve.  I remembered I had this Jumping Beans moose shirt from my cousin and I dug in the 3t bin before church to find it.  He was very happy with it and thought it was hilarious that the moose was wearing a scarf.  We layered it over a Gap button-up and red skinny jeans.  He wanted his TOMS, but I think his camel boots would have been a cute match to the moose!

Beatrix wore an Old Navy dress with Trumpette tights.  I bought the tights when I was pregnant with Teddy because they were 70% off.  They never worked for him, but I'm glad I save them!  Unfortunately, I put them in a separate bin in November and forgot about them until this week.  I wish she would have gotten to wear them more!

Tillie wore her DreamSpun dress that has been well documented this month.  I'm hopeful that it will still fit her next year!
