No TOMS for Bea

Tillie and Teddy are disappointed that they both have TOMS that match Tim and I and Bea has none.  Poor third child.  (Actually, I'd totally buy Bea matching red polka dots if I found them in a store.  I just don't think she needs them enough to go searching online.)

Bea is wearing a Gap Swing Set dress(Once Upon a Child $1 sale!) and a navy Cherokee bodysuit(baby gift!).  Her Pediped shoes were from a Consignment sale.

Tillie is excited that her red polka dot TOMS(Nordstrom Rack!) fit her now!  She wore them with Dreamspun pants(sample sale!), a crewcuts tee and a necklace I made her.

Teddy did NOT want his picture taken, but Mama made him anyway -- but only one take!  He's wearing a crewcuts tee, Gap jeans(all his non-Gap or crewcuts 2t pants are too short, but all 3t are GINOURMOUS on him.) and navy TOMS.

Fall at the Gardens

Tim had an out of town meeting today and then was getting together with friends after that.  I decided we should have some fun as well, so after kindergarten was done we drove out to Robinette's and the Gardens.

Bea wore and Oilily jumper I found last winter at Once Upon a Child's $1.  It's a 6m, but I think it runs slightly small.  I'm glad it cooled down enough to wear it now, because I don't know how long it will still fit around her neck!  Her socks are Gap and her shoes are Pediped.

I didn't get a great picture of Tillie's outfit, but I've been waiting all summer for her to wear this.  The Tea dress I got for $1 a Once Upon a Child.  Her Gap apple boots I bought at a garage sale 2 years ago.  I just couldn't resist them.  I'm so glad I bought them because she loves them and they actually go with quite a few outfits she has this fall.  Her skinny jeans and boot socks are Gap.

If Ted forgets about his fire truck shirt, this Tea Collection fox tee is his favorite shirt right now.  I might agree with him!  His jeans are Gap and I'm so glad his brown Cons still fit.  Another not great picture.  I just let them play today.

Awesomesauce

I took 3 pictures this morning.  This one was the best.  In my defense, it was cold and we were nearly late for school.

Tillie's wearing a Deux Par Deux tunic and leggings set I got at the consignment sale this fall.  Looking at this picture this tunic is nearly too short to wear with leggings too.  Girlfriend's got long legs like mama.

Ted's wearing a Gap button-up and Pedipeds from Goodwill and Genuine Kids jeans.

It's Fall!

When we left for Preschool it was 50* outside.  As soon as Tillie got in the car she put on a jacket(the same one as Teddy is wearing, actually.)  She's wearing a Naartjie cat tunic and leggings from the fall trans line.  There's a sequined cat at the bottom of the left pant leg.  She thinks that is awesome.

As I was helping Tillie climb into the van I could hear Teddy saying, "Cheese!" behind me.  I turned around to see this.  He's a natural!  He's wearing a Gap Galicia dino body double, Gap jeans and a Mighty Acorn(Matilda Jane) track jacket.

Double Outfit Day!

While the weather has been absolutely delightful the last few days, it is a little cool for August in the morning.  I didn't want the kids to be too cold at church this morning.  Tillie wore an outfit I've posted about before, but it's just so pretty I couldn't resist posting it again: crewcuts tee, Georgia Grace Whimsy knot dress, yellow Salt-Water sandals and My Little Pixies hydrangea clip.  Teddy's wearing a Crazy 8 polo and Gap Dressy Styles patchwork madras pants with navy Pediped shoes.

After church we drove out to my hometown for a local church's "Race Day".  They have hot dogs, a car show, a craft fair, kids games AND firetrucks.  Kids are free to check out the firetrucks which made my son's day.  It might quite possibly be the highlight of his life so far.  He wore a Carter's dino tee and madras shorts from The Children's Place.  (If I had been thinking I would have had him wear a fire truck shirt.  I wasn't thinking.)

Tillie wore a Carter's dress that Aunt Betsy gave her for her birthday.  I had her wear it once at Camp for a few hours, but then I realized there was too much white on it and it was way too cute on her to get ruined.  Much better for wearing around town where there's less dirt.  I made the clip to match her Easter outfit in 2011.

Zip-Up Sweater

I really need to pack away these 6-12m Gap jeans; they're just too short.  He's also wearing a Gap striped bodysuit I got at a garage sale for $1.  It's not the cutest thing, but it was cheap and was his size.  Hopefully he grows soon because his 12-18m clothes are cute!  The sweater is 12m Tea from Once Upon a Child.  I bought it during one of their $1 clearance sales.  It stretches out when he wears it, so I think it will last most of the winter.

Another Birthday at the Fair

We took the kids and my sister to the fair tonight for my birthday.  It was a warm day, but you could feel that fall is in the air.  The kids got to wear long sleeves and jeans!

Tillie wore a Mini-Boden hedgehog tee(bought at a consignment sale this morning!), Gap tank and crewcuts jeans.  This tee is so freakin' cute.

Teddy wore a Mini-Boden dinosaur tee(from Nordstrom Rack), Gap jeans and Pediped shoes.

Rainy Morning

I didn't accurately dress Teddy for the weather this morning.  I could see it was raining outside and their was a chill in the air from air conditioning running.  I assumed it was going to be a lovely fall morning.  Nope, it was hot and muggy today.  Luckily it was nice and cool inside the library and Target so it wasn't roasting in his Gap jeans.  They're 6-12 months and huge on him.  The 3-6m were too short so he's stuck with these.  Why don't baby sizes come with adjustable waist!?

I bought this Mini-Boden bowling pin tee at Nordstrom Rack the day before he was born.  I also bought a girl Mini-Boden cat tee, but that one went back a week or so later.  I like this one because it reminds me of my Grandpa.  He liked to bowl.

Blues and Seagreen

My mom bought Teddy this Gymboree Yacht Club tee and pants at a Red Balloon sale shortly after he was born.  They're 6-12m and he's finally grown into them, with a lot of room to spare.  Since we were going to the Children's Museum this morning I knew I would be taking a lot of pictures of them, so Tillie had to coordinate.  She's wearing a crewcuts short-sleeved navy dress and striped cardigan.  I added the crewcuts necklace and Goody clip to add the seagreen color to her outfit.  I rather like how cute it turned out, even if they weren't in the mood to pose for me.  There were too many toys to play with!

I love the plaid pants.  The top is also reversible!

I'm a sucker for sailboats.

Tillie wore this GymboreeCote D'Azure top last year on the 4th of July and to Coast Guard Festival.  It's size 18-24m, but I think it still works.  I just couldn't resist slipping it on her again after I found a romper from the same line on eBay for Teddy.  Tillie's wearing Jumping Bean bermudas.  They're from last summer and are 2t, but since she has underwear on instead of a diaper they still work.  I bought her this red Salt-Water Sweethearts on eBay, too.  They go with her 1st day of school outfit, so that's how I justified them.  (Her dress was only 50¢; hooray for Gap rewards!  You'll see that post in September.)
Teddy did not want to stand by the coloum, but I needed him standing so you could see the sail boat!  Tillie's outfit looks a little too small in this picture, but it didn't really seem that way in real life.

I've been saving Teddy's romper for Coast Guard, but now they're going to have to wear these once a week.  For sure when we got to Big Star Lake/Ludington.  They're so freakin' cute when coordinated. (And always.)  Why doesn't Gymboree make anything this cute anymore!?
They weren't really willing to pose for me today.

"In Town"

We had a few library books and a DVD that needed to be returned today so after breakfast we ran into Rockford.  Teddy wore gingham Koala Kids shortalls I got at Goodwill.  I just got him the 0-6 Pediped sandals this week at a consignment store because the 6-9m Robeez ones I bought last winter are still way too big.  Tillie's wearing a Gymboree Tropical Bloom dress I bought from my cousin.

Wooden Shoe Rather Be Dutch?

I never did find a tiny Dutch costume for Teddy.  I didn't really try too hard; I was too cheap to buy one for just one year.  He just wore a cute outfit when we went to Dutch Village last week, but I was having a hard time doing that for Tulip Time.  So, last night I ran to Field's Fabric to find some yellow-ish fabric, had Tim draw me a shoe and whipped up this bodysuit.

In this picture he's also wearing a Gap Portobello sweater, Gap jeans and Pediped shoes.  The shoes are size 6-12m and he kicked them off while I was feeding him before we left.  It also ended up being a lot warmer than I planned so it didn't wear the sweater in Holland.

Around 9:30 when I got the fabric out of the dryer I realized I didn't have and Heat n Bond.  I really wanted to get it done last night so I improvised.  I cut out the shape, used Wash Away Wonder Tape to hold it in place one the bodysuit and used a tight zig zag stitch to hopefully prevent fraying.  It pulls a little in places, but it wasn't bad for what I had to work with!

Tillie wore her Dutch costume, handmade by a grandma in Jenison.  I bought it on Craigslist a couple years ago.
