Crewcuts Combo
Ted's worn both of these crewcuts pieces many times this summer, but never together. I don't know why because I really like it. His shoes are TOMS and this sunny day made him ask for his Urban Baby Bonnet modCap.

Pretty in Pink
Last winter my mom and I came across a super sale at Gymboree. The sale items were all lower than marked with an extra percentage off and you could use a coupon. Teddy picked out this Watermelon Darling dress for Beatrix and we got it for around $2.50. It's a lovely summer day, so we added her Urban Baby Bonnet -- a hand-me-down from Til.

The Last Time
Teddy is wearing his first piece of crewcuts today! It's a size 2, but it fits him surprisingly well, seeing as a lot of 18-24m clothes are too big for him. Once he gets tall enough it's going to be a great brand for him because of how slim it runs. If only I still had the discount! (Okay, I have a ton I bought before I left and other things I've bought on super clearance so he'll still have a good selection.) Anyway, I love this "super fast" tee. It's so perfect for this little boy who never stops moving, except to eat. He's wearing it with Genuine Kids skinny jeans and red Tiny TOMS along with his UB2 modCap.
One more, because they're too cute.

Nautical at the Zoo
Here was my [unimportant] conundrum of the day:
Zoo Trip = Animal Shirts. July 3 = Red, White & Blue Week.
I decided that we have enough pictures of my kids in animal themed clothes at the zoo and it would be okay to rock some adorable nautical gear.
Teddy's wearing a Gap Cannes outfit layered over a Carter's bodysuit. It warmed up, but it was a little cool this morning when we got there. He's just starting to outgrow size 4 shoes, which is a bummer in the middle of the summer. However, I remembered that we had brown Salt-Water surfers in size 5 stored in the attic. Ted thought it was so great when I brought these out, "Shi-she shoe! Shi-she shoe!" They both think it's pretty cool that they match and I love that I don't have to scramble to find new sandals for him in the middle of the summer!
Tillie's wearing a crewcuts tee (awesome employee sale) and denim cropped pants(Goodwill) with her Salt-Water sandals. I'm pretty much jealous of these jeans.
I love how dorky and coordinated they are in their matching anchors and sandals.

Zoo Field Trip!
Today was Tillie's field trip to the zoo, so of course both kids needed animal themed clothing.
Teddy's wearing the same tiger Mini-Boden tee he wore to the zoo last summer. It's a 6-12m, but I kind of like how it fits him. (And he LOVES this shirt. It makes it hard for me to pack it away.) His patchwork madras shorts are from The Children's Place. Nearly every thing I have for him for summer is size 18-24m and is GINORMOUS. I know most of his outfits have always been too big on him because he's rather small but I really prefer more fitted outfits. He's going to be a sloppy mess in his huge clothes all summer.
Tillie's wearing a crewcuts flamingo tee and bermuda shorts with her yellow Salt-Waters. She requested this picture, natch. It was actually a lot cooler than I anticipated so I didn't pack any cardigans or jackets. Tillie was cool, so I offered her all I had, her Urban Baby Bonnet. She went for it.

Happy Wednesday!
Our bathroom is currently sink-less because of a simple reno project so I took the kids on some errands today to get out of my husband's way.
Tillie's wearing a crewcuts ivory tissue tee under a pink Gap slipdress under the Matilda Jane Stargazer Pearl. Layers are key when she wants to wear spring dresses and it's still only 40* outside. This size 2 Pearl is getting a little short for my tall girl, but since it's a wide swingy fit it still works great as a tunic. Adding a dress underneath gives it life as a dress again!
Teddy's wearing new Cherokee skinny jeans (24m with adjustable waist! They should fit for a while. Hopefully he keeps up the good walking skills so he doesn't wear a hole in the knee of these too!), a Teddy Lu button-up and a yellow gingham Target $1 Spot tie. It was half off after Easter. How could I resist!
Urban Baby Bonnets asked on their facebook page for photo submissions for their blog. I didn't have a recent picture of them in their hats together, so I changed their clothes after lunch and we headed outside. I just switched out Teddy's tie for another one I bough that was more orangey-red. Tillie's wear a "cool girl" outfit with a crewcuts tee and cardigan and Gap Mojave "boyfriend" jeans.

Not a Bonnet Lover Today
Tillie begrudgingly let me take a picture of her with her Urban Baby Bonnet today. She just wasn't in the mood, but it matches her crewcuts bow tank so well. I will admit that it is a little warm for extra layers when we weren't planning on being in the sun. She's also wearing a crewcuts skirt and Stride Rite sandals. The sandals were from a garage sale last week.
Teddy is wearing a Tea Collection top I bought at a consignment store when I was trying to get pregnant. The Tea shorts I bought from a friend. They have a matching top, but I need to replace/move a button and I haven't gotten around to it yet. Delightfully they're a great match to this shirt! He's a little drooly today from chewing on toys.
Edited to Add Another Picture:
This picture of Tillie seems to more accurately represent her outfit. It's darling on, but the first picture looks frumpy. This skirt is one of Tillie's favorites and asks to wear it whenever she sees it.

Gorgeous and Sunny
The weather today is amazing. It was perfect for garage saling with friends. Tillie was too busy trying out toys and did not want her picture taken. This was the best I got. She's wearing her Mini-Boden "coffee" tee, crewcuts chambray ruffle skirt and necklace, her Urban Baby Bonnet along with her new Salt-Water sandals. I gave up on finding used ones and bought these Swimmers from Zappos. They're a different style from last year, but I thought they would look cute in white and match nearly everything.
Teddy was a much more willing participant. He's finally fitting into size 6-9 months so I pulled out Reuben's bin in that size this week. These are his Osh Kosh plaid shortalls with a Carter's bodysuit.

Spring Break Day 6
Our last day in North Carolina. We're actually leaving around 9pm tonight. We drove down to Cape Hatteras to see a couple lighthouses today. I really didn't plan it, but the only shirt left that Tillie hadn't worn was her Lands' End lighthouse one. It's even a swirly blue and white one! She wasn't very happy to be there, but she was excited when she saw that they were so similar. It was cool. rainy, and windy so I made her wear her Urban Baby Bonnet too. I forgot her jacket at the beach house. I didn't intend to pack them, but these "new" Primigi pink mary janes were what Tillie was wearing when we left last Friday. I bought them at a garage sale for $3 a couple weeks ago.
Teddy wore his Gap jeans again, with a Carter's bodysuit and Crazy 8 polo. My mom got the polo super-cheap right after Teddy was born. I think long-sleeves look cute under polos and it extends the time he can wear them weather-wise!

Treasure
This morning Tillie and I went out in to town. She wore a Matilda Jane dress and I just couldn't change her into play-play clothes today. She's wearing a Land's End tee and Jumping Bean bermundas. She asked for her Urban Baby Bonnet. I don't blame her, it's sunny out.

Happy 4th of July!
Tillie wore a Gymboree Cote D'Azure top with Jumping Bean denim bermudas to the parade today. I've loved the Cote D'Azure line for a while and was excited when I found this top at a garage sale this spring. It didn't have the matching bloomers, but since it's size 18-24m they might not have fit well anyway.
We added her Urban Baby Bonnet before the parade started.

Layers at the Zoo
It was a nice sunny day, so Tillie and I went to the zoo. She's wearing a dress from Gymboree's Western Prairie line, Carter's jeans, Gap Outlet cardigan, Salt-Water sandals and her Urban Baby Bonnet. I got the dress at a consignment sale. It's 18-24m, but it was too pretty to leave there. Since she's skinny I think she'll be able to wear it all summer with capris or bloomers if I ever get around to making them.

It's Royal Wedding Day!
So naturally, Tillie had to wear a hat. We didn't get up early enough to watch the wedding, but I did make her watch the horse-drawn carriage recessional. She seemed to like it.
She's wearing a crewcuts dress under a Matilda Jane Pearl dress. Her sandals are Salt-Waters and the bonnet is from Urban Baby Bonnets.

Coast Guard Festival Art Fair
I try to go to the Coast Guard Festival every year. I just adore it. The weather was perfect today for perusing the Art Fair. Tillie wore a Grain and Gusset popover pinafore I made her. I really made it for cooler weather to wear over a long sleeved tee and jeans. It just seemed like the perfect thing to wear to an Art Fair though. I remembered a First Impressions outfit she has that included white smocked bloomers. Perfect! Since it was so sunny, she wore her Urban Baby Bonnet as well.
