My Little Birthday Girl Takes Chicago!

We're not falling into the third kid gets screwed on parties over here!  This little girl got to go to the American Girl store.  The kids didn't want to do much shopping after we bought their toys, but I made a quick stop to take these cute pictures of my girl.

She's wearing a Beatrix Potter for babyGap dress that my cousin gave her, Dear Grace & Parker party hat and Payless shoes.

Tillie wore a DreamSpun dress and Adorable Essentials ruffle pants.  Teddy wore Carter's skinny jeans and a Gap tee.

Greenhouse

It wasn't really warm enough for dresses and shorties, but we were going to see flowers and figured the car and greenhouse would be warm enough -- and they were.

Sisters in matching dresses.  I've been dreaming about this since I found out Beatrix was a girl.  Bea is wearing the Matilda Jane Wendy dress my mom bought for Tillie when she was this age.  Tillie is wearing a size 4 that I bought on Craigslist a couple years ago.  It's getting too short, but it works with shorties and I wasn't going to miss an opportunity for matching Matilda Jane!  Tille's shorties are DreamSpun and you can't see Beatrix's blue dotted Tea leggings.

Not to be left out, Teddy is dressed in Mighty Acorns(Matilda Jane's old boy line).  I found the tee at Village Kids last year and the jacket was Tillie's when she was little. He's 3 going on 15 in this picture and it kills me.

St. Patrick's Day!

50* Means Spring Clothes!

Sure, it was still 30* when we left for church, but the sun was out!  At least I haven't made them start posing for pictures outside.  Soon, though...

Beatrix is wearing a Janie & Jack Sweet Coral Reef dress($1 at OUAC) and Janie & Jack Tea Time cardigan(came with a swing top set from OUAC).  Her Circo shoes were Tillie's Easter shoes.  Her felt bow is a new design from Dear Grace and Parker that I clipped on a velvet headband.  

Tillie's outfit is a good example of how inexpensive pieces come together for a great looking outfit!  Her dress I bought yesterday at H&M for $5.  That's the regular price.  I bought the Boden "pretty cardigan" for $8 at a JBF sale last week.  (Here's a cute one for $10 at H&M.)  Her crewcuts necklace was a hand-me-down from my sister, but it's not hard to find inexpensive cute necklaces for girls.  Her Circo cat shoes I got on clearance last year for $5.  Silver shoes are awesome because they match so much!  Tillie picked out the yellow bow, since there are some yellow flowers on the dress.  I like that she picked that over pink or purple.  It's a little unexpected and really makes the outfit,  I think.

White Leggings

Today Tillie's wearing a Lands' End chambray tunic and boutique lace leggings.  We had to get another time wearing white leggings to school while it's still snowpants season!

Pretend Spring!

Grandma got a Gardens membership and we happily tagged along pretending that it was 30 degrees warmer than it actually is.

Tillie and Beatrix are wearing coordinating Matilda Jane.  Tillie's wearing her size 2 Stargazer Pearl as a swing top and Bebe is wearing the Cupcake dress from Platinum.

I made Tillie wear the dress because it matched Beatrix, but I surprisingly loved it with her Gap skinnny jeans.

Tillie first wore this dress when she was 17 months old. :)

March is the Hardest Month

No one wants to wear winter clothes anymore, but it's still too cold for spring outfits.

The girls are in Matilda Jane today.  Tillie's wearing the Westside 'Molly the Envy' skirt with a Gap tee, crewcuts tulle skirt and necklace, boutique knee socks and OshKosh shoes.  Beatrix is wearing the April knot dress(why I didn't put her in the Abbi knot dress that's from the same line as Tillie's skirt I'll never know) with a Cherokee layering tee, Gap eyelet socks and Livie & Luca Minnies.

It's a Spring Tee Kind of Day

The warmer weather is so close I can taste it.  40+* next week?!  I'll take it!

Today the big kids are wearing crewcuts tees.  Teddy's jeans are H&M and Tillie's are Gap.  Her bow is DreamSpun.

Zulily

You know how Tillie has modeled for DreamSpun?  Well today there's a DreamSpun event on Zulily, so my baby is pretty much famous.

Sweet Pink Dress

I bought this Gymboree Holiday Teddy Bears dress when I was pregnant with Teddy.  Well he never wore it.  It's a 12-18m, so I thought it would be okay on Bea and probably wouldn't fit next summer.  I think the pink is a little too pale for her, but it is such a sweet dress.

Tillie's wearing a Maeli Rose sweater and a crewcuts tutu skirt.  She's posing kind of weird, but it really was cute together.

Day 5

I love these Old Navy dresses.  Tillie's wearing hers with Gap skinny jeans.  Bea wore matching Old Navy heart tights when we went to Costco.

Teddy's GQ pose is all his own. (Even though this pic is blurry I had to choose it.)  He's wearing a Carter's tee with Gap Playtime Favorites striped pants.  He wore red and navy striped socks with his TOMS to Costco.

Day 2

Today Tillie wore the DreamSpun vintage tee she wore on the 14th last year.  This time she paired it with a Crazy 8 cord skirt and Circo leggings.

Teddy wore a Carter's tee with H&M knit-waist jeans.

Beatrix wore a Gap Love chambray dress with pink BabyLegs.

Valentine's Week!

Hooray!  Red and/or Pink Week is here!  I have the kids outfits planned for everyday and they have a lot of great things to wear -- too many options even.  I like red, pink and hearts, so it's on a lot of their clothes anyway.

Teddy is wearing red Gap skinny jeans and a Gap Urban Adventures chambray tee.  He had Livie & Luca fox shoes at church, but I didn't get a picture of him there.

Tillie's wearing a flutter dress I made years ago.  I think it's technically a McCall's size 2, but as you can see it runs super-wide.  It's just about too short for her as a dress, but with Gymboree tights and shorts under it it worked.  Her bow and necklace are DreamSpun and her shoes are Circo.

Beatrix is wearing a Gap Love Collection sweater dress, craft show headband, OshKosh tights and Gymboree shoes.

Still Winter

I'm kind of over the kids winter clothes and it shows in my posting.  I was also busy this week, so I didn't get the chance to take pictures, much less upload them.  We went to a school auction with my parents tonight and here's what the kids wore.

Tillie - Striped crewcuts top(Goodwill -- it had a lot of stains when I bought it but I got them out!), Gap jeans, TOMS, Dreamspun bow and a necklace I made.

Teddy - Next rocket tee, red Gap skinny jeans, navy TOMS

Bebe - Gap Love Collection chambray dress, Tea Collection leggings, Livie & Luca Minnie shoes(garage sale!)

All Smiles

Every morning when I show Beatrix what she's wearing that day she smiles, laughs and claps.   It's so fun.  My happy girl is wearing a lot of Gap today.  The leggings are from the Galacia line.  Her bow is Inspired by Olive Zoelle.

Even though last night Tillie deemed this outfit "fall", she was happy to wear it today.  It's a Mini-Boden pointelle tee, Crazy 8 cord skirt, H&M bird leggings, Gap boot socks and Target fuggs.

Silly Sock Day

Tillie's class earned 15 points so they celebrated with a silly sock day.  I wasn't entirely sure what that meant, but she was okay with the mix and matched Gap socks I gave her as an option.  (Obviously just a pair of cat socks is NOT silly.)  Her shirt is crewcuts and her jeans are Gap.

Beatrix wore a One Kid cardigan and Zutano dress I got at Once Upon a Child's $1 sale.  Her tights are Old Navy hand-me-downs from Tillie.

Uninspired Sunday

Usually there's at least one outfit I'm excited about my kids wearing to church.  Today was not one of those days.  Dressing for mid-January is the worst.  Christmas is over so holiday outfits are out and it's way too soon(and cold) for new spring things.  It's also to early for Valentine's inspired outfits.  So, this is what I came up with for today.

Teddy's wearing a Janie & Jack cardigan, Gap button-up, Gap skinny jeans and navy TOMS.

Beatrix's wearing a Janie & Jack cardigan, Gap Ivy League dress, Old Navy tights, See Kai Run shoes and a Dear Grace & Parker headband.

4th Sunday of Advent

Look at these cute girls:
Tillie's wearing an outfit that fit last year and I loved it so much I checked to see if it still fit this year.  Win!  It does!  It's a Gap Lodge dress with a crewcuts ski cardigan.  She's wearing Target Fuggs and a DreamSpun bow.

Beatrix is wearing an Old Navy bodysuit and Gap St. Petersburg cord dress with Gap boots.  Both girls are wearing matching BabyLegs.

And my handsome Ted:
Teddy's wearing a Gap Desert Plains sweater(2012, but they make this style every year) with crewcuts cords and an Arizona button-up.  The cords are a 3 and too big, but he got a hole in his 2t chinos and I'm not buying another pair in that size!

Gardens Member Party

Tonight we went to the Gardens to see the Christmas trees and lights and eat cookies.  The kids saw Santa, too.  I think these three outfits are my favorites of this holiday season(at least so far, I can't promise I won't change my mind!).

Teddy, my sweet boy, was darling in his Gap sweater, shirt and cords.  His tie is from Crazy 8.

Beatrix wore a Gap deer cord dress over and Old Navy bodysuit and tights.  Her shoes are Gap and her bow is Dear Grace and Parker.  This dress is so soft and I just love it.

Tillie wore her Dreamspun dress with boutique leggings and Circo cat shoes.

2nd Sunday of Advent

I took the camera with me to church to take better pictures by the trees with better lighting there, but I left the memory card at home!  Maybe next week.

Last year I felt a lot of pressure to buy outfits for this year right when things got marked down.  Things were really picked over in Tillie's size, but I ended up with a gold Gap skirt I liked.  I bought a cute tee and cardigan to wear with it, but when I had her try it on together I didn't like it.  And, the size 5 skirt is a little roomy.  Maybe next year?  This is the Carter's dress I bought for Bea to wear.  I picked up a gold cardigan at Target for her to wear with it, but I didn't really like it together, I just liked how it coordinated with Tillie.  This morning I decided to be really lenient on Christmas colors and put at Gap Wayfarer cardigan my aunt gave her. With Gymboree patent leather maryjanes and a Dear Grace and Parker bow she's just too cute!

Teddy's wearing and Arizona button-up I got with a free $10 coupon from Penney's.  His black skinny jeans are Gap and his shoes are TOMS.  I know I said I was really excited about his outfit for this morning, but  decided to have him wear that to the Members Party at the Gardens tonight instead.

Tillie's wearing an Olive Juice dress I bought half off at a consignment store a few years ago.  It's a 4 and finally fits!  Her tights are Gymboree and her shoes are Circo.
