We're Back!

But not until after one more day of dressing out of our closets at home.  Yeah, I made Tillie change out of her Matilda Jane Wendy dress immediately after taking this picture.

I was brave and let Ted stay in his crewcuts outfit all day.  The insect shirt was too perfect for hanging around the nature center.

Bea is wearing a Koala Kids outfit that was a baby gift when Tillie was born.  It's so fun dressing my daughters in the same clothes.  So far she doesn't seem to mind hand-me-downs.

Camp Clothes and Tillie's Style

I fount this homemade outfit at a consignment sale for only a few dollars.  I knew Tillie would like it and be happy that I'd let her play in it at Camp.  (While I usually let Tillie play in whatever she's wearing, there are a lot of outfits I don't let her wear at Camp.)  She added the Keen sneakers.  They were $2 at a garage sale.

Teddy's wearing a Gap tee from Goodwill and Hanna Andersson shorts from a friend's garage sale.  His Keen sandals were a steal from Amazon this winter.  They're *almost* too small, so cross your fingers his feet don't grow until after Camp!

Preschool Clothes

Today was Tillie's second to last day of preschool.  She picked a Naartjie dress over Gap jeans and Keens.  Not my first choice in clothes, but it works for school and the playground.  This dress is a size 3 and finally "fits" without being huge.  I don't love the neckline on her though.  She likes it so it will be fine for playing at Camp.

I know I said the pinwheel headband was too small, but I had to put it on Bea for just the picture.  She stayed home so she didn't need any headwear.  Her outfit is Gap Arctic Star from a Mom2Mom sale.

School Day 2

Tillie wore a Gap Woodstock tee with Jumping Bean knit shorts today.  Sheesh, this girl has long legs.  These shorts are a 4 and not a 4t even.  She was happy to find the clip I made her a couple Easters ago matched very well.

After we picked Tillie up from school we went to Costco where fudgesicles were a sample.  Teddy decided to wipe his chocolate cover hands on his crewcuts "Super Fast" tee.  He's also wearing Gap faded red shorts.  I thought this was a boyish outfit, but someone asked me if he was a boy or a girl this morning.  (He was in a high chair... but still!)  Too much faded red/pink I guess!  I think he's cute and boyish!

Spanish Camp!

Tillie's going to Spanish Camp at her preschool this week.  Her review, "We got to play at the park[playground], painted a crab and saw pictures of the sea.  There was no snack or pictures."
It's another cool day over here so she's wearing an ArtPrize American Apparel tee with crewcuts ruffle skirt and leggings.

Ted got to run errands with me.  Here's our stop at Target in a Peek... Aren't You Curious button-up and Crazy 8 skinny jeans.  Ack, the cuffed jeans and TOMS are so cute to me.

So, because I'm awesome and my hobby is my kids' clothes I have Pinterest boards for some items in their "closets".  It helps me plan pictures, holidays and store line names for the blog.  I was trying to find his Crazy 8 skinny jeans today when I discovered they are girl jeans.  Now, I really don't don't care that they're girl jeans, but it's crazy how much better they fit than all the other boy jeans he has.  Also interesting is that I bought both of them second hand and they were both in the boy sections of the store.

Perfectly Pleasant

After a cool morning it's warmed up enough to shed some layers. Teddy's wearing a shirt(Goodwill) and madras shorts(garage sale) from The Children's Place. They're a pretty good match for not buying them at the same time.  (I don't shop there enough to know if they haves coordinating lines or the such.)

Last Week at Camp

Teddy wore this outfit earlier this spring, but the 18m Jumping Bean shorts were ridiculously long on him. I don't feel like he's grown that much taller, but maybe I'll notice it more when we have to wear jeans later this week!  The Gap Outlet tee has a camping theme, so I had to get it.  I bought it when we were on vacation in North Carolina last year.

Tillie is wearing a crewcuts shirt I got at Once Upon a Child's dollar sale last week.  It's missing a few sequins, but it works just great for Camp and preschool!  The denim bermudas are also crewcuts, purchased on sale when I still worked there.

Camp Cute

I think this outfit is a great mix of appropriate for Camp and still Tillie's style.  She's wearing a cream Gap Seaside tank.  It's size 3.  She wore it once last year, but it really was too big.  It fits a lot better this year.  I like the criss-cross straps in the back.  The pink knit shorts are Jumping Beans, purchased on extreme clearance last winter at Kohl's.  The necklace is crewcuts and I love it so much that I actually borrow it from time to time.  The My Little Pixies hydrangea clip is also a favorite of mine, but I don't borrow that one. ;)  Of course, her pink Keens make any "Camp" outfit.

More Stars

I bought this Genuine Kids star top for 50 cents at the thrift store. It got left at home last week so she didn't get to wear it for red white and blue week. Th Gap cropped jeans are from a garage sale.

Crocs and Fishies

No, that that kind of Croc! Not even at Camp. ;) Ted is wearing a Gap crocodile tee from the thrift store with Gymboree Summer Boy knit shorts.

Tillie is wearing a Gymboree Sea Splash outfit that she thinks looks like pajamas. She does have a point.

Light Blue

We cheated a bit today with our light blue staff kid shirts. They missed wearing them on opening day last week, so we thought the last full day of this session would be appropriate.  Tillie is wearing hers with a navy crewcuts shirt and Ted has his with red Gymboree Beach Crawler shorts.

Liberty and Stripes

I love this Liberty of London for Target dress.  It's a 3t and Tillie wore it last summer on Sunday during red white and blue week too!  Keens, blah, blah, blah, Camp shoes.  Thankfully, she really likes this dress too.  I think it will officially get packed away now as it's getting a bit short.

Teddy's wearing a Gap outlet polo and Carter's shorts.  The shorts are from Once Upon A Child's dollar sale last summer and the polo is either from a garage sale or Goodwill.

Red, White & Blue Week

For the next week my family will be rocking red, white, and or blue to begin the celebration of the 4th of  July.

 Tillie is wearing a Gap Playtime Favorites dress that we found at Goodwill a couple weeks ago. She had a tunic leggings set in this same stripe. We added the striped knit fabric so it was a little more festive. She picked the Keens, I would have gone with tan Salt-Waters.

Teddy is wearing a Crazy 8 crab shirt with Gap khaki shorts with navy Squeak Me sandals. The crab was appropriate for his mood while taking these pictures.

Sweet Find

A couple weeks ago we were running errands and I gave Tillie the choice as to whether or not we would stop at Goodwill before going home.  I'm so glad she chose the store!  I found this Tea Collection dress there for $1.99!  (And three Gap dresses in her size.)  Wearing it with pink Keens wouldn't be my first choice, but it's great for Camp.

Play Clothes

I struggle a little bit with play clothes.  I like clothes a little too much to just throw any old thing on them.  I buy a lot of clothes at thrift stores and garage sales, but I'm still picky about what I buy.  These two outfits are play clothes that "work" for me.  Well, kind of.

Teddy's outfit is actually knew, but Jumping Beans from Kohl's can be had very inexpensively if you watch for coupons and markdowns.  I got this top for $2 and my mom got the shorts for less than $4 I think.  The shorts remind me of Mini-Boden.  I got his Genuine Kids sandals on half price day at the thrift store.  Yeah, I think they were worth 50¢.

I got Tillie this Gap Coral dress at Goodwill.  Her Keen sandals wouldn't be my first choice with it, but they're perfect for Camp.  I got them for $7 from Piperlime with a referral credit earlier this spring.  She LOVES this dress.

Flower Shopping

It appears we've skipped spring.  It feels like summer today!  It's currently 85* and we're having burgers on the grill for dinner.  This morning I took the kids to get some flowers.  Tillie picked out this pink and purple flowering peas basket.

Tillie's wearing a Mini-Boden rainbow tee and toweling shorts.  She also has on brand new Keen Whispers.  I ordered them from Piperlime with a $25 referral credit I had from a program they had last month.  She's going to fit right in at Camp this year!   Teddy's wearing Old Navy shorts(50¢, thrift store) and striped shirt.  I don't *love* these together.  I think a smaller stripe or solid navy would work better.

I know, awesome picture.  It was best one of their outfits though.
