Coast Guard

It was a lovely day for a drive out to Grand Haven.  Tillie and Ted were a little disappointed that the carnival rides weren't running yet, but I didn't mind!

Obviously we had to wear nautical outfits for the Coast Guard Festival.  Tillie's wearing a crewcuts tee and shorties I made her from Old Navy leggings.  Her bow is DreamSpun and her sandals are Salt-Waters.  Ted is wearing a crewcuts tee and Gap Cannes shorts with his navy TOMS.

Bea wore her Gymboree Sailor Baby outfit.  In this picture she's wearing the matching bib and hat(backwards) with it.

Patriotic Cherries

Today my little Bea is wearing a Carter's hand-me-down from Tillie.  I *think* this was also a gift from my friend Linds.  Her bow is Dear Grace and Parker.

Here's a close up of the bow, so that you can see the cute "polka-stars".  (Also, she's growing long eyelashes like her older siblings.)

Tillie's happily coordinating in her H&M cherry dress.  We accessoried with a Dreamspun bow, crewcuts necklace and Salt-Water sandals.

Teddy's wearing a crewcuts striped tee with Gap Cannes shorts.  Since we were going into town instead of staying at Camp he's wearing his TOMS.

Red, White & Blue Week!

It's here!  With oddly colored pictures because I only pretend to know how to use my brother's camera!

Teddy is wearing a Gap Cannes tee with Gymboree Beach Crawler shorts and Old Navy flip-flops.  I found out this morning that he can put these flip-flops on my himself, which totally made my day.

Tillie's wearing a Gap Surf tank with crewcuts star shorts.  Blue lips courtesy of a red, white and blue popsicle she had in the bath last night.

Bea is wearing a Circo dress that was a baby gift to Tillie.  If I'm remembering correctly, it was from my friend Linds.  It looks just as cute on Bea.  We accessorized with a Dear Grace and Parker bow.  She'll probably wear one of these every day since I bought a three pack of red, white and blue bows that have stars on them.  They were half price during a facebook flash sale.  I couldn't resist.

Chambray and Red

Even when I don't plan on it, my kids end up with a lot of red, white and blue for the summer.

Teddy's wearing a Gap Sag Harbor tee(my mom!) and Gap Cannes shorts(still fit from last summer!).  Tillie is wearing a Small Fish tunic from Dreamspun and Gap jeans.  They're both wearing Salt-Water sandals since I was sure they'd be playing in the water at the Gardens this morning.  I love that these sandals are waterproof, but still look great.

Bea's wearing a Gap Baby Love dress with a Dear Grace and Parker flower headband.  The dress is a little big, but it's not quite the tent it looks like in this pic.

Memorial Day

We broke out the red, white and blue today.  Tillie is wearing a Gap Surf tank and Gap Bleecker Street ruffle skirt(garage sale).

Teddy's wearing some of last summer's clothes -- Gap shorts and a Gap Cannes tee.

Bea's Gap Tidal romper is a little big, but since it was all I had packed she still had to wear it.  She's wearing a blue starred Dear Grace & Parker headband and a Carter's bodysuit as well.

Beach Day

I'm thinking that when Tillie's preschool teachers planned for a beach day on March 26 they didn't expect it to be quite this cold out.  We just layered her up for the car ride(BabyLegs, cardigan, snow boots) and took it off at school.  She's wearing a crewcuts surfboard tee with neon shorts.  I got the shorts at the end of last summer super-cheap.  I didn't know if I had any matches for them, but they were basically cheaper than a garage sale so I thought they'd be great for Camp.  What do you know but the orange is the same as the stars on this shirt!  Her flip-flop and clip are crewcuts as well.
She wanted to wear her bathing suit, but I insisted on shorts and a shirt.  She then insisted on taking it to school because her teacher would want to see it.  When we got to school three other girls in her class were wearing bathing suits.  Didn't see that coming!  I, however, was not too surprised when I picked Tillie up and her shorts were in her backpack, but her bathing suit was not.  Girlfriend switched half-way through the day.

Teddy also insisted on wearing summer clothes.  I pulled out some turtle shorts from last summer, but he insisted on anchors, so I dug deeper in the bin for some.  (Sheesh, my kids had a lot of opinions on their clothes today!)  I still love this Gap Cannes outfit and it should fit him this whole summer again.

Ted stayed home with Grandma.  He about fell over laughing when she took her coat off and was wearing a cardigan covered with anchors.

Ludginton

We took a day trip to Ludington today.  Tillie and Ted had so much fun playing that I didn't get any great pictures of their outfits.  This one works well for their outfits, but they don't look thrilled.  I promise they loved the park!

Tillie's wearing a crewcuts anchor tee with crewcuts star shorts.  The star shorts are a 3, but they fit her much better this year.  I think she might even be able to wear them next year.  I'm not too surprised about this.  My sister Kizie had them last year and bought them in a size that was about 2 sizes smaller than she normally gets.

Teddy is wearing my favorite outfit of his this summer, again.  It's from Gap Cannes.  This time he added a Gymboree cap I've been trying to get him to wear all summer.  Since it doesn't have a strap like his modCap he's been taking it off right away.  Somehow Tim convinced him to wear it and he wore it happily all day.  When it fell off he'd put it right back on!

Summer Sun!

It's another toasty day here in West Michigan.  Tillie's wearing a size 3 crewcuts dress.  It's a little short when she's running and jumping, but it was WAY too wide last year.  Her tan surfer Salt-Water sandals, color-blocked beaded necklace, and glitter hair clip are all from crewcuts as well.

Teddy is wearing my favorite Gap Cannes shorts with what I thought was a Cannes tee as well, I can't find it in the skus, so I'm not positive what line it's from.  He finally fits into his size 5  Circo seersucker shoes -- they're the cutest.  Little boys in slip-on shoes and shorts are so much cuter than sandals.

Nautical at the Zoo

Here was my [unimportant] conundrum of the day:
Zoo Trip = Animal Shirts.  July 3 = Red, White & Blue Week.

I decided that we have enough pictures of my kids in animal themed clothes at the zoo and it would be okay to rock some adorable nautical gear.

Teddy's wearing a Gap Cannes outfit layered over a Carter's bodysuit.  It warmed up, but it was a little cool this morning when we got there.  He's just starting to outgrow size 4 shoes, which is a bummer in the middle of the summer.  However, I remembered that we had brown Salt-Water surfers in size 5 stored in the attic.  Ted thought it was so great when I brought these out, "Shi-she shoe!  Shi-she shoe!"  They both think it's pretty cool that they match and I love that I don't have to scramble to find new sandals for him in the middle of the summer!
I love these anchor shorts so much.

Tillie's wearing a crewcuts tee (awesome employee sale) and denim cropped pants(Goodwill) with her Salt-Water sandals.  I'm pretty much jealous of these jeans.

I love how dorky and coordinated they are in their matching anchors and sandals.

Stripes

We're all rocking stripes today.  Tillie's wearing a Gap Cannes dress with crewcuts flip-flops.

Teddy's wearing a Jumping Beans set from Kohl's.  The shirt makes me laugh, the shorts remind me of Mini-Boden and were both purchased cheaply with a 30% off coupon. Win-win-win.

After breakfast at Camp we went to the market and ate French macarons.  Lovely.  My kids wholeheartedly approved. (And then we brought Uncle Philip's camera back. :( )

Nautical

I love a good nautical outfit.  This morning we had to run a couple errands on the other side of town.  I decided this was reason enough to dress the kids in cute outfits.

Tillie's wearing crewcuts chambray tunic and capri anchor leggings with a Gymboree necklace and yellow Salt-Waters.  She's worn a variation of this outfit many times, but this seems to be the first time she realized the tunic has pockets.

This Gap Cannes outfit of Teddy's is one the rare "new" outfits I bought him for this summer.  The majority of  his wardrobe this season was purchased used at garage sales, facebook and thrift stores.  While I liked everything when I bought it, I'm a little underwhelmed at the "outfits" his has.  It's a lot of pieces that don't go together.  Oh, I just remember that most of his shorts were purchased new during a crazy-awesome Gymboree sale.  But, they don't have specific matches.  We'll see what I come up with.  I'm currently struggling.

Anyway, I adore this little outfit.  My mom bought it for him on clearance last fall.  Still a little big, but cute none-the-less.  I really need to pack away the red shoes.  They just really make so many of his outfits.

Apraxia Awareness Day

Today is the first Apraxia Awareness Day.  My kids(and Tim and I!) are all sporting blue and white for our friends Nolan and Rylie.

Teddy is wearing a blue and white striped Old Navy tee with Old Navy overalls(Goodwill overalls!).  Both of these items are 18-24m.  I think he'll be wearing them for a while.

Tillie is wearing a blue and white striped Gap Cannes dress with a coral crewcuts cardigan.

First Day of School!

Tillie's first official day of school was this morning.  I dropped her off at 8:45a and picked her up at 11:15a.

She wore a Gap Cannes dress, crewcuts cardigan, red Salt-Water sandals and a Goody clip.  She requested pigtails with a red clip.  I bought the dress in August to be her first day of school dress.  (It was on sale, plus I used rewards.  It was only 52¢ out of pocket!)  Then it cooled off a little and I was worried it wouldn't be warm enough so I bought her a crewcuts dress too.  I wasn't sure which one I should have her wear today so I let her pick.  Both options were red, white, and blue for Patriot Day.  That's just the way I roll.

It was weird running errands at the mall with just Teddy.  She had a little meltdown again when I picked her up.  I'm hoping that after a few weeks she'll get used to it all.  School is a big change for her! She likes it, but she likes playing independently more.  I don't blame her, there are a lot of fun toys in her classroom!
