Transitional Seasons are the Hardest.

It's spring, but still too cool for short-sleeves in the morning, hence these outfits.  They're a little darker than I'd normally go for in the last week of April.

My Little Birthday Girl Takes Chicago!

We're not falling into the third kid gets screwed on parties over here!  This little girl got to go to the American Girl store.  The kids didn't want to do much shopping after we bought their toys, but I made a quick stop to take these cute pictures of my girl.

She's wearing a Beatrix Potter for babyGap dress that my cousin gave her, Dear Grace & Parker party hat and Payless shoes.

Tillie wore a DreamSpun dress and Adorable Essentials ruffle pants.  Teddy wore Carter's skinny jeans and a Gap tee.

Greenhouse

It wasn't really warm enough for dresses and shorties, but we were going to see flowers and figured the car and greenhouse would be warm enough -- and they were.

Sisters in matching dresses.  I've been dreaming about this since I found out Beatrix was a girl.  Bea is wearing the Matilda Jane Wendy dress my mom bought for Tillie when she was this age.  Tillie is wearing a size 4 that I bought on Craigslist a couple years ago.  It's getting too short, but it works with shorties and I wasn't going to miss an opportunity for matching Matilda Jane!  Tille's shorties are DreamSpun and you can't see Beatrix's blue dotted Tea leggings.

Not to be left out, Teddy is dressed in Mighty Acorns(Matilda Jane's old boy line).  I found the tee at Village Kids last year and the jacket was Tillie's when she was little. He's 3 going on 15 in this picture and it kills me.

Easter!

I love how my little trio's outfits came together this year.

They weren't thrilled to take pictures outside before church, but they still look adorable.  I bought Beatrix's outfit first, before she was born for $3.  It seemed perfect and Eastery, so I decided to find clothes for the others to coordinate. (Her shoes ans socks are what Tillie wore for her first Easter.)

Tillie's wearing an Eleanor Rose dress.  When they posted the sneak I thought it would be perfect because it has similar colors and a similar cut to Bea's dress.  I would have had her wear white flats, but she didn't have any and I didn't want to buy shoes to wear once, so Salt-Waters it is!

I took the girls' dresses with me to Carter's to pick out a shirt for Teddy.  I first had thought green, but it didn't match at all.  I picked this button-up because there are blue flowers on Beatrix's dress and the pink stripe in the shirt is the same as both of the dresses.  I bought the Urban Sunday suspenders half off at Horrock's after Christmas and he Gap chinos I picked up on clearance a year ago.  Teddy requested the hat at Carter's and I couldn't say no.  I'm really glad I got it.

Spring-y Sunshine!

The weather today was just lovely and we celebrated with some spring outfits.

Teddy adores this Gap tee.  Tillie decided to call it a "Bog" for Bunny-Dog.  Teddy just hops all over when he's wearing it.  I knew he'd be spending a lot of time outside, so I pulled out his jeans that already have a hole.  His 2t jeans are starting to get too short.

Beatrix started out in her Gap Wayfarer top and cardigan, but by lunch she needed a new outfit.  I pulled out this Gap Gypsy body-double and jeans.  Her 6-12m jeans are getting too short.

Palm Sunday!

Tillie's wearing a Matilda Jane dress I found at Once Upon a Child. (Symon's General Store dress from the Good Hart line)  It's still too cold for short sleeves, so she opted for an Old Navy tee and Gymboree leggings under it.  (The other options were a cardigan and tights.)  Emmie needed to be in the picture because she is also wearing a dress with leggings.

Beauty and the Beast

Tillie and Tim went to the high school play this afternoon.  She wore a crewcuts cardigan, boutique tank(from DreamSpun), Gap jeans, Circo cat shoes and a crewcuts purse. I just got a box of bows for both girls from China this morning. There were two purples and two oranges, but neither matched her outfit. I started to get a little purple clip she has that matches perfectly, but I could see she was sad that she wouldn't get to wear one of the new bows, so I told her she could wear the white one. I love that my girl loves bows as much as I do. 

Silver Cats

I couldn't not get her to pose without moving today.  Believe it or not, my iPhone does not do well with spinning children.

This morning I decided to get a size 4 Naartjie set out of the attic to see if it would still fit.  It does!  The pants are a little short, but with ballet flats they just look slightly cropped to me.  In this picture she was admiring how her silver cat shoes match the silver sequined cat on the pant leg.

Sure, it was still 30* when we left for church, but the sun was out!  At least I haven't made them start posing for pictures outside.  Soon, though...

Beatrix is wearing a Janie & Jack Sweet Coral Reef dress($1 at OUAC) and Janie & Jack Tea Time cardigan(came with a swing top set from OUAC).  Her Circo shoes were Tillie's Easter shoes.  Her felt bow is a new design from Dear Grace and Parker that I clipped on a velvet headband.  

Tillie's outfit is a good example of how inexpensive pieces come together for a great looking outfit!  Her dress I bought yesterday at H&M for $5.  That's the regular price.  I bought the Boden "pretty cardigan" for $8 at a JBF sale last week.  (Here's a cute one for $10 at H&M.)  Her crewcuts necklace was a hand-me-down from my sister, but it's not hard to find inexpensive cute necklaces for girls.  Her Circo cat shoes I got on clearance last year for $5.  Silver shoes are awesome because they match so much!  Tillie picked out the yellow bow, since there are some yellow flowers on the dress.  I like that she picked that over pink or purple.  It's a little unexpected and really makes the outfit,  I think.

Children's Museum!

My cousin had some extra passes to the Children's Museum that expire tomorrow that she couldn't use.  We happily took them off her hands!  It had been about a year since my kids had last visited and they were so excited.

Day 6

Look at this guy.  So freaking cute.

My mom bought them the Carter's heart tees last year when I was still pregnant.  Tillie's wearing hers with a Hanna Andersson skirt and Circo tights and shoes.  She started out with this bow, but switched it out when she saw I had another one that was the same as Bea's.

Bebe is wearing her tee over a white Gap Peter Pan collared dress.  Her polka dotted socks are Gap(and I think navy dots, but I didn't have time to find anything else... They're dark!) and Gymboree shoes with a Carter's bow.

Valentine's Week!

Hooray!  Red and/or Pink Week is here!  I have the kids outfits planned for everyday and they have a lot of great things to wear -- too many options even.  I like red, pink and hearts, so it's on a lot of their clothes anyway.

Teddy is wearing red Gap skinny jeans and a Gap Urban Adventures chambray tee.  He had Livie & Luca fox shoes at church, but I didn't get a picture of him there.

Tillie's wearing a flutter dress I made years ago.  I think it's technically a McCall's size 2, but as you can see it runs super-wide.  It's just about too short for her as a dress, but with Gymboree tights and shorts under it it worked.  Her bow and necklace are DreamSpun and her shoes are Circo.

Beatrix is wearing a Gap Love Collection sweater dress, craft show headband, OshKosh tights and Gymboree shoes.

Cream and Gold

Tillie is the only one who went to church this morning. She wore a cream Gap tee, gold crewcuts tutu and pearl necklace, H&M bird leggings and gold Circo boots.

Navy

Navy is my favorite color for January.  It's kind of a pre-pre-spring thing and it's just a color I love.

 Tillie's in a crewcuts top I got on super-sale when I worked there because it had a stain on it. I soaked it and soaked it and finally got it out! I love this top. I've been putting it on her since she was 3.5. Jeans are Gap, and seem to be getting a little short. My mom bought her the TOMS last year, but after we took the picture she said they're uncomfortable. They're a 9, so they probably are too small. She wore silver cat ballet flats instead.

Beatrix is wearing a Gap Fall Field Guide body-double and Gap Greenhouse jeans.  Kind of a lot of polka dots, but Tim says a baby can't wear too many.

All Smiles

Every morning when I show Beatrix what she's wearing that day she smiles, laughs and claps.   It's so fun.  My happy girl is wearing a lot of Gap today.  The leggings are from the Galacia line.  Her bow is Inspired by Olive Zoelle.

Even though last night Tillie deemed this outfit "fall", she was happy to wear it today.  It's a Mini-Boden pointelle tee, Crazy 8 cord skirt, H&M bird leggings, Gap boot socks and Target fuggs.

Valentine Preview

They're so cute and coordinated that I had to get at least more than one wear in before Valentine's Day!

When Tillie was a baby Valentine's Day fell on a Sunday. I had a outfit for two for her, but of course I had to get her a new dress! This year, it fits Beatrix.

Last spring at a consignment sale I found the same dress in a 5t. I couldn't believe it! How random to find a 4 year old Old Navy dress in good condition.

Bea's tights are Old Navy and Tillie's are crewcuts. They're both wearing Dear Grace & Parker felt bows. Tillie's shoes are Circo(Target) and Bea's are Gymboree(hand-me-down from Til.)

Chambray

We went out for brunch this morning and I just wasn't feeling any of Bea's clothes.  (I know, shut up.)  I found this Gap Love Collection dress in her closet and decided to try it on even though it's 12-18m.  It's big, but it worked since she's tall.  I found it at Goodwill for a $1.  I couldn't believe it!  I wanted to buy it last year at Gap, but since she didn't need it I resisted.  (See Tim, I don't buy everything I want.)  Her leggings are Gap Galicia and her boots are Gap as well.  (I never did figure out what line they're from.  I bought them last winter.)  Her clip is Little Sweet Pea Crochet.  (Parentheses.)

Blue and Cream

We had some great coordinating going on today for church!  Tillie was the only one with a new outfit.  She's wearing a Mae Li Rose sweater from DreamSpun, Old Navy leggings(size 6-7, she's not too tall, but has long legs) and Circo cat shoes.

Teddy's wearing Gap sweater, shirt and cords with a Crazy 8 tie.  Beatrix is wearing a Gap dress and shoes with and Old Navy bodysuit and tights.

A Quick Gardens Stop

I had a few errands on the other side of town, so I decided to make it an "event" and go to the Gardens.  I let the kids watch Elf in the car and they thought it was awesome!

Tillie wore a Jumping Beans top and Cherokee tutu skirt with crewcuts tights and Circo cat shoes.

Teddy's first choice of shirt (a size 3 Tea Collection tee) was too big, so he settled for this Tea fox shirt.  It's layered over a Rabbit Moon button-up (50% off at OUAC) that doesn't really match, but he didn't want to take it off.  It is pretty soft, actually.  Gap jeans and TOMS complete his outfit.

Today we made Bea's Zutano swing top even more festive by adding Christmas BabyLegs,  She's also wearing a Carter's bodysuit and Old Navy tights.  Her bow is Dear Grace and Parker.
