Stripey Sisters

Today Beatrix is wearing the dress (Gap Boho) Tillie wore on her first Thanksgiving.  I never got a picture of Tillie in it and she only wore it that once.  It was from a garage sale and I didn't pay much for it.  My cousin made her little clippie - Little Sweet Pea Crochet.  We have 4 of them and they stay in her fine hair nicely.

Tillie's wearing a Gap Boho(Outlet version) outfit I bought at a garge sale this spring.  It's a 4 and kind of too small, but I remembered I had the dress for Bea so I bought it for them to coordinate anyway.  As soon as Tillie saw her outfit this morning she said, "OOH!  Bea and I kind of match today!"  I'm going to go with it while they still let me!  Her leggings are Cherokee and her boots are Circo.  The gold boots are not my favorite, but Tillie loves them.  And, they were 70% off last spring so at less than $5 they'll do.

Teddy's a brand mixing jackpot today.  His One Kid button-up and Janie & Jack vest are both from Goodwill.  His crewcuts cords I bought when I was still working there.  They're a 3, straight leg and way too big for my taste, but once he tried them on he wouldn't take them off.  He's wearing his brown Cons, but they're getting rather small so I didn't put socks on.  He needs new brown shoes, but I'm picky and cheap and haven't found anything yet.

And just because they're cute, here are the two littlest waiting for Tillie to finish Sunday School.

Creams and Browns

Today's clothes were centered on the fact that I wanted Teddy to wear this Janie & Jack button-up I found at Goodwill last week.  99 cents!  He's wearing it with crewcuts chinos and brown Cons.  He really needs some more size 7 shoes; these 6s were a bit tricky to get on.  Tillie is wearing a dress I got at a Polka Dot Pearl sale with a crewcuts cardigan and shoes.  The cardigan isn't my favorite with this dress, but it was the only one that worked color-wise.

Beatrix didn't have anything that coordinated awesomely with them, but I thought this Janie & Jack dress and Gap Country Cool bodysuit were  pretty good.  I think this will probably be the last time she can wear that camel 3-6m Dear Grace and Parker bow.  It's leaving a indent on her head now.  It was my favorite and looks so cute with these Gap Country Cool shoes!

Fall at the Gardens

Tim had an out of town meeting today and then was getting together with friends after that.  I decided we should have some fun as well, so after kindergarten was done we drove out to Robinette's and the Gardens.

Bea wore and Oilily jumper I found last winter at Once Upon a Child's $1.  It's a 6m, but I think it runs slightly small.  I'm glad it cooled down enough to wear it now, because I don't know how long it will still fit around her neck!  Her socks are Gap and her shoes are Pediped.

I didn't get a great picture of Tillie's outfit, but I've been waiting all summer for her to wear this.  The Tea dress I got for $1 a Once Upon a Child.  Her Gap apple boots I bought at a garage sale 2 years ago.  I just couldn't resist them.  I'm so glad I bought them because she loves them and they actually go with quite a few outfits she has this fall.  Her skinny jeans and boot socks are Gap.

If Ted forgets about his fire truck shirt, this Tea Collection fox tee is his favorite shirt right now.  I might agree with him!  His jeans are Gap and I'm so glad his brown Cons still fit.  Another not great picture.  I just let them play today.

Princess Frog, Owl and Stripes.

It's a cool day for playing on the playground.  Tillie's wearing a Mini-Boden applique tee(Tillie calls it a Princess Frog) with Gap jeans and pink Cons.

Bea is wearing an Old Navy jumper I bought at a garage sale for 20¢ when I was pregnant with Ted.  It's layered over a Carter's bodysuit.  Her shoes are Robeez that were Til's.

Crazy Ted can still wear this size 2 crewcuts hoody.  I love it on him, so there are some perks to him growing slowly!  His jeans are Gap and his shoes are TOMS.  Most of his non-Gap/crewcuts 2t pants are too short this fall, so I know he is growing a bit!

Zoo!

My brother gave the kids a family pass to the zoo for their birthdays and we surprised them with using it this morning.  The weather is decidedly weird, as everyone was wearing jeans and long sleeves IN AUGUST.  It warmed up a bit by this afternoon, but still, so weird.  I don't have a good feeling about this winter.

Bea is wearing a Naartjie outfit I bought when we were in Chicago two weeks ago.  It's darling on her, but it's hard to get a great picture of it.

Teddy's wearing a Tea Collection tee I got at Snapdragon's tent sale in July.  I like that it's a different style from all his crewcuts tees.  His jeans are Gap and his shoes are Converse.

Tillie's wearing a DreamSpun halter with a crewcuts cardigan and Gap skinny jeans.  Her TOMS are a perfect match to the flower on her top!

Pink Bunnies

We're at home for one more day, but most of our clothes are still at Camp.  And, most of the clothes at home are the "nicer" things the kids own.  We decided to go to the farmer's market in style this morning.

I actually bought Bea this Beatrix Potter for babyGap dress this week.  I found it half price at Once Upon a Child for only $3.25.  Obviously she had to have it.   Her little clip was Tillie's first clip.  Til couldn't wear it until she was about 4 months old.

Teddy's wearing "Little Os" overalls from The Mighty Acorns, the old boys' line from Matilda Jane.  He's pretty proud of the acorn on them.  I probably would have layered a white tee under it, but they're all at Camp.  He didn't mind.

Tillie's wearing a crewcuts dress I bought ages ago.  It's a size 3, but ran super-wide.  It finally fits around her well, but is pretty short.  I thought about putting denim bermundas under it, but they're also at Camp.  Adding a crewcuts tulle skirt probably matched better anyway.

The colors of their outfit look pretty cute together.

I also like how both Tillie and Teddy have criss-cross straps.

Neutrals and Browns

I've got three coordinating kiddos again today!  Tillie's wearing a Polka Dot Pearl dress from the sale I went to during spring break.  Ted is wearing crewcuts chinos, a Gymboree Turtley-Cute button-up and brown Cons.  Bea is wearing a First Impressions dress(hand-me-down from Til).  My dress is Lands' End Canvas, cardigan is J. Crew and my sandals are Teva, if you wondered.

Totally Awesome

My mom bought Tillie this outfit yesterday(40% off sale at Gap!) and she had to wear it today.  She did wear a white cardigan to school, but I'm sure she took it off right away.  The Gap Garden Green shirt is a 5t and the Gap Surf skirt is a 4-5(and runs slim in the waist).  I can't believe my girl is old enough to wear clothes from Kid Girl!

Bea is wearing a Carter's set I bought for the cardigan so she could wear it on Easter.  It was on super-clearance at Birch Run in January. I added Circo Leggings since it's still cool.  She stayed home all day, so I skipped the socks that always fall off.

An Old Pro

You can tell Ted's been doing this whole "take a picture of your outfit" his whole life.  When I told him I needed a picture he started complaining, but then ran to the tree and started posing.  He's wearing a Children's Place tee from Goodwille, H&M layering tee, Genuine Kids skinny jeans and brown Converse(garage sale).

Bea is wearing a Gap Hamptons Garden terry sweatshirt and knit leggings.  The sweatshirt is actually from the boy side of Gap, but I think my girl can rock navy.  The Carter's newborn socks are a near perfect match!  I made the clippie when Tillie was little.

Plaid

Ever since Beach Day, Tillie and Teddy have been digging in their summer clothes for things to wear.  I guess they're anxious for warm weather like everyone else!  I vetoed the matching turtle shorts, but I did let him wear this Gymboree Turtle-y Cute button-up over an H&M tee and Genuine Kids skinny jeans.  His brown Converse are from a garage sale a year ago.

Also, this is my almost 2.5 year old wearing all 18-24m and they fit wonderfully.  Here's hoping he gets to use his awesome 2t wardrobe this summer...

Spring-Ish?

It's 46* today and we went to the Gardens.  That was a good reason to bust out some spring clothes!  Tillie is wearing a Mini-Boden dress and leggings from a consignment sale last year.  It's all size 3-4, but my kids always seem to wear Boden at the second number best.  (Although, Til did wear this dress last spring as well.)  When we weren't in the Gardens she wore a white cardigan with it since it is a little cool out.  We accessorized with a Goody clip, crewcuts necklace and pink mary jane TOMS.
When I pulled this out Tillie said, "The bunny dress?  But it's not even Easter!?"

Teddy is wearing a crewcuts entomologist tee.  I mean, really?  I had to get this for him.  As soon as it was marked down last summer I purchased it.  I can't wait for him to wear it at Camp this summer.  It's layered over a Great Guy gingham button-up.  I've never heard of this brand before, but Tim and his friends all call each other Guy, so when I found it at Goodwill it had to come home with me as well.  He's wearing it with Gap Naval Academy skinny jeans and gray Cons.  This will be the last day for these size 5 Converse.  They're too small.  I will miss them.  They matched so much!

Boats & Waves

There's an ocean theme at preschool this week, so we decided to go with that today.  Tillie is wearing a crewcuts porthole tee over a white Cherokee layering tee.  Her coral cord skirt is Lands' End.  She wore her blue Converse to school since it was gym day.  And, since it's going to be 50* today we went with bare legs -- because we could!

Teddy is wearing a crewcuts boat tee over his new fire truck tee.  He wasn't too happy about covering the fire truck up, but he was won over when I told him the boat matched Tillie.  His jeans are Gap and his gray slip-ons are Circo. (I think he's actually moving into size 6 shoes now!)

This shirt has print on the back too.  That always makes me happy.

Spring?

High of 45* today!  That called for a picture outside.  The kids did not want to participate in this photo shoot.  At all.  (Tillie just wanted her cookie from Grandma and Ted said the sun was too bright.)

Ted is wearing an H&M bear tee over a button-up with green Gap skinny jeans.  (Guess what pants he'll be wearing on St. Patrick's Day...)  Tillie is wearing a Naartjie outfit over a crewcuts tissue tee.  Today was gym day so she requested Converse.

20 More Years, Please

Sure, his Carter's shirt says he's the Most Eligible Bachelor, but he's only 2. ;)  He's also wearing red Gap skinny jeans and gray Cons.  AND! He has a haircut scheduled for next Tuesday.  I can't wait.

Tillie's wearing a flutter dress I made for her 3 years ago.  It's apparently a McCall's size 2.  Yeah.  It finally fits and she LOVES it.  I added a flower button to the back last week and it's like I gave her the moon.  She's talked about that flower button no less than 4 times today.  Since it's cold, we layered a crewcuts tissue tee and jeggings under it.  The size 4 jeggings are WAY too short, but they still work with boots.  Her bow and necklace are from DreamSpun.

Birds and Stripes

Today Tillie's wearing a Gap Valentine's Day bird tee(Goodwill?  Somewhere cheap!) with her H&M heart patch jeans.  (Which, H&M DOES have online right now.  The waist band is pink which I don't love, but if they get them in-store I'll probably pick them up-- if I have a coupon.)  She wore her pink mary jane TOMS at school.

Teddys' wearing an Old Navy red and charcoal striped thermal, OshKosh jeans and gray Cons.

Red at Church

My kids Christmas outfits were perfect for Valentine's week this year!  Teddy's outfit didn't change at all: Gap Festive Holiday sweater, gray Gap ringspun polo, Old Navy plaid pants and gray Converse.

Tillie's wearing her Jason Wu for Target red dress with a polka dot Marks & Spencer cardigan I found at Goodwill. (You can't see it, but there are cute red bows on the pockets of this sweater.)  Her gray tights are Gap and her sparkle shoes are Circo.  I let her pick out what she wanted in her hair and she went for the red Dreamspun bow.  When I helped her off the piano bench I called her a "Valentine Princess", so then she wanted to wear a crown.  She wore her crewcuts tiara headband to church instead.

A Willing Model

Teddy was having nothing to do with pictures today.  He's wearing a Carter's layered-look polo(garage sale) with Genuine Kids skinny jeans.  His shoes are Converse and my cousin made his new hat! (Little Sweet Pea Crochet)

M is for Matilda!

This week was M and forest animal week at preschool.  She has quite a few things she could have worn with that theme, but since Monday and Wednesdays were snow days we decided on her American Apparel Mm shirt we found at Goodwill last year.  Her teacher loved it, so I think it was a good choice.  We layered it over a white Cherokee long sleeved tee and added a crewcuts chambray skirt and red Hanna Andersson liveable leggings(Costco).  With a red Dreamspun bow on top she looked pretty cute for a snowy day!

She wore her navy Cons at school because we thought it was a fym day, but since they were setting up for the auction they stayed in the classroom.  That was probably for the best since I'm sure they had a lot of catch-up to get through from missing two days!  (Of course she had to miss two days of  "forest animals" week.  That's vocab I'd really want her to know!)

Jeans and Tees

Teddy and I picked out his clothes yesterday night.  As soon as Tim started changing his diaper this morning Ted started saying, "I don't yike cowboy shirts.", but his pacifier was still in his mouth and Tim had no idea what he was saying.  We don't have a lot of time for switching things around on school days, so I made him wear it anyway.  As soon as he got it all on he was fine.  He's wearing a Gymboree Cowboy Trails tee, 77Kids jeans and Stride Rite shoes.

Today was a gym day for Tillie, so she requested "pink tie shoes -- 'cause they're good for running!".  Along with her Conversere, she's wearing a Mini-Boden tee and H&M jeans.

Snow Week

The theme at school this week has to do with snow, so we thought it appropriate to wear her crewcuts snowflake shirt.  She can't wear the Gap snowflake jeans to school since she can't do the button, so we paired it with a crewcuts cord skirt and Gymboree tulle leggings.  Tillie insisted on her snowflake TOMS as well.  I told her that after the bathroom break at school it was okay to leave her shirt untucked, but she figured out how to tuck it in.  I was kind of impressed.

My mom bought Teddy this Genuine Kids outfit at Target about a year ago.  I was with her and picked it out, but I'm not loving it on him as much as I thought I would.  Both pieces are 24m, but they're still HUGE on him.  The jeans, as it turns out, are girl jeans.  We did buy them off the boy rack, but later I noticed little birds on the rivets and flowers in the lining.  I wish they fit like his other Genuine Kids jeans!  Maybe when it's actually spring it will fit better.
