This Baby.

This baby?  She's just the best.

Even when she's annoying and whiny.  I can't even believe that she'll be 1 in two weeks.  Today she's wearing a Giggle Moon outfit I found at Once Upon a Child.  I don't know it will still fit this summer, so I layered a Cherokee bodysuit under it to make it almost seasonally appropriate.

March is the Hardest Month

No one wants to wear winter clothes anymore, but it's still too cold for spring outfits.

The girls are in Matilda Jane today.  Tillie's wearing the Westside 'Molly the Envy' skirt with a Gap tee, crewcuts tulle skirt and necklace, boutique knee socks and OshKosh shoes.  Beatrix is wearing the April knot dress(why I didn't put her in the Abbi knot dress that's from the same line as Tillie's skirt I'll never know) with a Cherokee layering tee, Gap eyelet socks and Livie & Luca Minnies.

Spring Birds

I'm just going to pretend it's not negative temperatures on our way to school.  Bring on the pastels and little bird cages!  I love this little Gap Wayfarer top on Bea.  I found it on clearance and when I was sorting the 6-12m clothes I realized it's from the same line as a cardigan my aunt gave me as a baby presents.  Score!  Her jeans are also Gap, her shoes are Livie & Luca and her headband is Inspired by Zoelle Olive.  If only my pretending were real and she could wear the top with just some ruffle bloomers!

My little Ted is becoming quite the model.  He chose this pose himself.  His tee is crewcuts and his skinny jeans are Carter's.

Day 3

Little Bebe is in a One Kid heart cardigan, Old Navy red polka dot dress, Gap ruffle socks, Livie & Luca Minnies and a headband a friend made.

Tillie wore a Gap heart tee(Goodwill), Gap skinny jeans and a My Little Pixies clip.

And, yes, I was phoning it in with Ted's outfit today.  At least he's wearing red!  It's a red Naartjie hoodie and Carter's knit pants.  The pants are a 2t and run small -- they're actually too short for him already.  The hoodie is also a 2t, but rather big.  All together it's a totally awesome outfit, no?

Still Winter

I'm kind of over the kids winter clothes and it shows in my posting.  I was also busy this week, so I didn't get the chance to take pictures, much less upload them.  We went to a school auction with my parents tonight and here's what the kids wore.

Tillie - Striped crewcuts top(Goodwill -- it had a lot of stains when I bought it but I got them out!), Gap jeans, TOMS, Dreamspun bow and a necklace I made.

Teddy - Next rocket tee, red Gap skinny jeans, navy TOMS

Bebe - Gap Love Collection chambray dress, Tea Collection leggings, Livie & Luca Minnie shoes(garage sale!)

A Stripey Day

Tillie is wearing a crewcuts sequined tee with Gap jeans and Circo cat shoes.

Corduroy

I love the fit of these Gap cords on Ted.  He's wearing them with a Gap Urban Adventures chambray shirt and Livie & Luca fox shoes.

Election Day!

We all(even Tim, unintentionally!) rocked red, white and blue today.

Ted is wearing red Gap skinny jeans and Gap Urban Adventures chambray shirt with Live & Luca fox shoes.  I love, love, love this outfit.

Tillie's wearing a navy Gap Seaside set, crewcuts necklace, DreamSpun bow and TOMS.  (The socks are from school.  She can only get her indoor shoes on if she's wearing socks.  Normally I'm pretty anti-socks with leggings, but I've learned to let go for school.)

Beatrix is wearing a Mini-Boden polka dot tee, Gap skinny jeans and red Trumpette socks.

Citrus Slices

I bought Tillie this Garnet Hill skirt at a garage sale this spring.  It fits her nicely even though it's a 4.  I paired it with two Gap tanks and Tillie picked out the Livie & Luca bloom sandals.  Her My Little Pixies clip is even a lemon slice!

A Southern Sunday

I found this Kelly's Kids lobster Jon-Jon at a thrift store last summer for $1.50.  I'm so glad it finally fits him!  Salt-Water sandals were the obvious footwear choice.

Tillie's is wearing a Georgia Grace Kalidescope Yoke dress from last spring.  It's a 4 and still is a bit big.  I'm just glad still can fit into her Livie & Luca Blooms at the same time.  Her bow and necklace are DreamSpun.

Bea is wearing a Georgia Grace  top from last spring that I got on sale.  It's a 6m and too big, but it was the most "Southern" thing I had for her to wear.  (No great bubble rompers or bishop dresses in her closet right now. ;) )

Vacation Day

The kids have been counting down to our weekend at the Conference Grounds and it's finally here!  They have their backpacks stuffed with toys they want to take.  Tillie insisted they were in a picture.

Spring?

High of 45* today!  That called for a picture outside.  The kids did not want to participate in this photo shoot.  At all.  (Tillie just wanted her cookie from Grandma and Ted said the sun was too bright.)

Ted is wearing an H&M bear tee over a button-up with green Gap skinny jeans.  (Guess what pants he'll be wearing on St. Patrick's Day...)  Tillie is wearing a Naartjie outfit over a crewcuts tissue tee.  Today was gym day so she requested Converse.

Desert Storytime

Tillie wanted to go to the last storytime at the Gardens today.  The theme was "desert" and the kids were to bring a toy snake or lizard.  We have a lot of toy animals, but only one lizard that fit the bill.  We decided Ted should wear his new Mini-Boden snake shirt(2-3, we'll get at least another year out of it) as our second item.  Teddy wants to wear it at Camp this summer.  I bought it recently from the clearance section using a voucher I bought from Rue La La last fall.  (I ended up getting 5 items for $25.80 out of pocket - 4 tees and a dress.  I was more than happy with that for Boden!)  He's wearing his Genuine Kids skinny jeans and Livie & Luca boots.

Shades of Blue

Last August when I was planning our family's fall pictures I got Tim this shirt at J.Crew.  I based everyone else's outfits around the colors.

I immediately saw a turquoise cord dress from Mini-Boden that would be perfect for Tillie.  She was still refusing to wear anything but short sleeve, so I knew she wouldn't refuse it.  It added texture, but not too much pattern and was just a style I knew would be flattering on her.  Of course it was a $38 dress.  But!  A few weeks later I was able to purchase a $50 voucher to Boden for $21 on Plum District.  It wasn't long after that that I was able to get the dress and two t-shirts for Teddy using that voucher.  It was a pretty sweet deal.

Today she's wearing that cord dress with a white Cherokee tee, Gymboree knee socks and Circo Fuggs.  Her headband was also purchased for family pictures(Etsy), but she wore it on the first day of school as well.

I found Teddy's gingham shirt on H&M's website and thought about waiting until I was at a store, but in the end I found a 20% off code and free shipping.  I'm glad I ordered it because I never saw it in store!  Today he's wearing it with a Janie & Jack cardigan, chinos from The Children's Place and Livie and Luca boots.

He did not want to have his picture taken today.

Go Knights!

The Calvin-Hope game is today, so I appropriately decked my kids out in Calvin gear.  Tillie's shirt we bought on sale at the Campus Store and Ted's matching one is from half price day at the thrift store.  Tillie's wearing hers with a Crazy 8 tulle skirt, flowered BabyLegs, DreamSpun bow and CircoFuggs.  Teddy's wearing Old Navy jeans and Livie & Luca boots.

Penguins and Hikers

A lot of the time I try to make my kids clothes "go" with each other, or at the very least not clash.  Today was not one of those days.

Tillie's wearing a Gap Artic Star penguin shirt with H&M jeans.  It's nothing I'm all that excited about, but she was happy.  It did seem appropriate for the amount of snow outside.

Ted has worn this Cherokee top a couple times already, but he likes it.  Today when I put it on him I asked him who likes to go hiking, he replied, "Grandpa!"  I was expecting "Daddy", but "Grandpa" is also true and I think my dad will like his answer.  His jeans are Old Navy and his boots are Livie & Luca.  He's also wearing Old Navy boot socks that looked so cute popping out of his boots while he was in the shopping cart at Target.

Blues

Do you have neutral colors that go with different times of the year?  In my head, it's Brown-September to Thanksgiving, Black-Black Friday to New Years, Navy-January-August.  It also just so happens that navy is my favorite, so there's that.

We went to the Gardens today because we got a membership with some Christmas money.  I'm so excited to start coming here again.  The green just makes me happy.  I'm thinking this will be a long winter so I'll be visiting a lot to keep myself sane!

I just got Teddy this H&M shirt last week.  I mean really, I couldn't leave a shirt that says, "This little bear lives in the forest." on the rack.  It's layered over an H&M button down from ThredUp(use this link for $10 off your first order!).  His jeans are Cherokee and his boots are Livie and Luca.

Ooh, notice that Ted doesn't have a mullet?  I actually trimmed the back by myself.  It's not perfect, but it will buy us a month until I have to get my hair done again and he can come with me.

Animals Totally Wear Accessories

Ted's wearing his Gap Poppy fox in a scarf sweater.  He's worn this a couple of times this month already -- how could I not!?

Tillie's wearing a Cherokee deer in glasses tee with a pink Gap Outlet cord skirt.  She rejected the tights I had because they're "scratchy", but accepted the pink BabyLegs.

Oh Little Man

I mean seriously, this outfit is too cute.  Ted is wearing a Janie & Jack cable-knit cardigan.  It's, um, size 12-18m.  I do think their clothes run big, but this is kind of ridiculous.  He's also wearing a short-sleeved gingham shirt from crewcuts and Crazy 8 skinny jeans.  His Livie & Luca boots are a little hard to get on, but now that we've gotten them stretchered out a little it's not so bad.  I was a little worried earlier this fall.  They're so cute and I was worried we wouldn't get many wears out of them.  They fit perfectly when they're all the way on.

Tillie's wearing a crewcuts sequin bow tee and corduroy skirt.  She only has one pair of cream tights that fit well, so I like to keep them for church.  We used Gap gray tights(thrift store) and added to a silver/gray clip to tie them together.  Tim recently found her mary jane TOMS in the breezeway(how I couldn't find them there I have no idea) and Tillie was happy to wear them again.

Winter Dress Coats

It's a snowy day over here, so we didn't put on great outfits.  I did, however, make them go outside for pictures in their wool coats.  I was actually planning on taking them to Ada today for pictures, but it wasn't worth the drive in this weather.

Ted is wearing a plaid Gap I Want Candy coat.  It's size 12-18 months and I bought it when he was 2 months old for the following year.  Well, he wore it to church last year, but it was too big and he wasn't walking so I don't think I ever took a picture of him in it.  I was so happy when I realized it still fit him this year!  He's also wearing Gap jeans and Livie & Luca boots.  His hat is from a craft fair.

Tillie's is a hand-me-down from my sister Kizie.  It's one of the few things she reminds Tillie she wants back after we're done with it.  It's Til's third year wearing it.  Kizie wore it for about that many years as well!  My friend Laura bought it for Kizie at Roger's.  She's also wearing Gap jeans and Cherokee boots.  Her headband and clip are from craft fairs.
