Lazy Saturday

We have a lot of randomness going on today.  The kids stayed home all day, so I let them wear whatever they wanted.

I helped Teddy pick out a crewcuts car tee and Gap jersey pants.  Beatrix is wearing a Hanna Andersson playdress I got at Goodwill.  Tillie is wearing an Old Navy tunic with boutique leggings.  Not her best match, but whatever.

They were all trying on their new Zulily TOMS that arrived this morning.

Little Strawberry

Beatrix is wearing a Carter's strawberry romper that was Tillie's.  It's not quite warm enough for it, but since I wanted her to wear it before she outgrew it we layered it over a bodysuit.  Her flower headband is Dear Grace & Parker.

Tillie is wearing a Naartjie outfit and Circo shoes.  Teddy is wearing crewcuts with Gap JunkFood slip-ons.

Pink and Green and Polos

Bea was the first one dressed today, in a Ralph Lauren polo dress(OUAC $1 sale!).  Once Tillie saw that she requested a pink dress as well.  Tim found her a Carter's pink polo dress(garage sale) as well.  I had them add the green DreamSpun ruffle leginngs since the dress is a 4 and a bit short on her.  Teddy's wearing a RUUM striped polo(Goodwill) and Gap skinny jeans.

"Mommy, when Beatrix gets bigger can we get her some TOMS too?"

Animals Totally Wear Accessories

Ted's wearing his Gap Poppy fox in a scarf sweater.  He's worn this a couple of times this month already -- how could I not!?

Tillie's wearing a Cherokee deer in glasses tee with a pink Gap Outlet cord skirt.  She rejected the tights I had because they're "scratchy", but accepted the pink BabyLegs.

Style

Sparkle shoes and a poofy, twirly skirt.  Tillie was all about this outfit.  The crewcuts top is from a consignment sale.  On the back is a dog on a leash from the front woman.  The dog has a tulle hair poof too.  We got the black skirt at the Hanna Anderson outlet during a Veteran's Day sale a few weeks ago.  It's a 110, so it should fit for a long time.  It will be nice with Christmas tees next month.

And Ted.  Well, he decided two different dress-up shoes and sunglasses were perfect with his Gap Holiday Wonderland knight sweater, crewcuts gingham button-down and Gap jeans.  I did make him change into shoes that fit when we ran errands.

Just Target

Tim and friends/family are re-roofing our back shop today.  I kind of wanted to go across town to Dreamspun, Village Kids and Nordstrom Rack, but then I realized it was Saturday and I was feeling lazy.  We drove 5 minutes to Target instead.  The kids are still wearing cute outfits to build with blocks at home.

Teddy's wearing a crewcuts sueded jersey half-zip over a gray Gap long sleeved polo.  His jeans are Genuine Kids and his TOMS are a nice pop of red.  Or "firetruck shoes" if you're Teddy.

Tillie's wearing the Matilda Jane Red Smart dress that she's worn a number of times before.  Today we tried it with a light blue Gymboree Cozy Cutie tee since there's some blue flowers in the bodice and the trim of the pockets.  I don't love it, but I do think it works.

Spectacularly Bad Pictures

Today was rainy, so I took iPad pictures inside in low light. So, um, enjoy these great shots... Their outfits were actually pretty cute from what I had to work with at camp.

Tillie's wearing a crewcuts relaxed fit striped tee my mom just got for her. (40% off sale in store!) The Gap 3t skinny jeans are cuffed to make cropped pants. After we went home today she switched to a pink, white and blue necklace and her pink sparkle TOMS. It was cuter that way, but I didn't get a picture.

Teddy's wearing a Beatles Rowdy Sprouts tee with madras shorts from The Children's Place.  You can't tell, but it's actually a really good match.

Camp Sunday

I bought Tillie this Mini-Boden dress from ThredUp earlier this year. (Sign up with this link and get $10 off your first order!)  When it arrived it was marked as a "flawed freebie" because their is a tiny hole in the front of the skirt.  Because the skirt is so full it's not noticeable. I added a patch on the back and it's a perfect Camp/preschool dress. I really like how the straps are on this dress.

Teddy's wearing a Gymboree Turtle-y Cute outfit my mom got super-cheap during the 50%+20% of markdowns sale.  It's an 18-24m size and I just wish he was a little bigger so it didn't hang on him so much. 

Nautical at the Zoo

Here was my [unimportant] conundrum of the day:
Zoo Trip = Animal Shirts.  July 3 = Red, White & Blue Week.

I decided that we have enough pictures of my kids in animal themed clothes at the zoo and it would be okay to rock some adorable nautical gear.

Teddy's wearing a Gap Cannes outfit layered over a Carter's bodysuit.  It warmed up, but it was a little cool this morning when we got there.  He's just starting to outgrow size 4 shoes, which is a bummer in the middle of the summer.  However, I remembered that we had brown Salt-Water surfers in size 5 stored in the attic.  Ted thought it was so great when I brought these out, "Shi-she shoe!  Shi-she shoe!"  They both think it's pretty cool that they match and I love that I don't have to scramble to find new sandals for him in the middle of the summer!

I love these anchor shorts so much.

Tillie's wearing a crewcuts tee (awesome employee sale) and denim cropped pants(Goodwill) with her Salt-Water sandals.  I'm pretty much jealous of these jeans.

I love how dorky and coordinated they are in their matching anchors and sandals.

Peter Pan and Polos

If I had been thinking I would have bought this H&M dress in size 4-6 as well as this 2-4.  It just suits her so well and was only $5! This one is getting a little short, but I'm probably still going to squeeze her into it at least once next spring as well.  She chose a red bow for this week's theme.

Teddy's wearing a Cherokee polo and faded red Gap shorts.  The shorts are from a garage sale.  I wouldn't have thought to put these two together until this theme week, but I really liked it on him.

Also of note, they both got haircuts this morning!

Polka Dots & Plaid

Teddy's wearing OshKosh shortalls and a Koala Kids ringer tee today.

Tillie is wearing a Carter's dress from last summer with crewcuts flip-flops.

p.s. I'm using a Chromebook at Camp this week.  It's not awesome for uploading and editing pictures, so I've been using Tim's iPad to blog and take outfit pictures.  I can't get it to center the pictures correctly.

Play Clothes

I struggle a little bit with play clothes.  I like clothes a little too much to just throw any old thing on them.  I buy a lot of clothes at thrift stores and garage sales, but I'm still picky about what I buy.  These two outfits are play clothes that "work" for me.  Well, kind of.

Teddy's outfit is actually knew, but Jumping Beans from Kohl's can be had very inexpensively if you watch for coupons and markdowns.  I got this top for $2 and my mom got the shorts for less than $4 I think.  The shorts remind me of Mini-Boden.  I got his Genuine Kids sandals on half price day at the thrift store.  Yeah, I think they were worth 50¢.

I got Tillie this Gap Coral dress at Goodwill.  Her Keen sandals wouldn't be my first choice with it, but they're perfect for Camp.  I got them for $7 from Piperlime with a referral credit earlier this spring.  She LOVES this dress.

Mother's Day

In the past I've had the kids wearing their Easter outfits again on Mother's Day.  Usually the long sleeves are switched to short and cardigans are left in the closet.  This Mother's Day is just as cold(if not colder!) than our early Easter this year.  Weird.

I don't like tights after Easter and I knew Tillie would complain about being cold so I ditched the idea of her Easter dress.  Instead she's wearing her 18m Matilda Jane Pearl dress as a shirt, a polka dotted Cherokee layering tee and K Bella Bambino ruffle pants.  I got the ruffle pants at a garage sale for $4 last week.  They're a 5t and I think they're suppose to be cropped pants, at least that's how they're going to end up fitting my girl.

We gave her the Cherokee necklace for her birthday.  She thinks it is so awesome because I have a teal necklace in a similar style.  "We have the same stones, Mama!"

So Sweet

How darling are my two kids?  I mean, seriously!

I, along with two friends, ordered Tillie's dress wholesale.  It was a group of dresses that we split among our daughters.  All for the price of $11.50 each!  It has a soft knit cotton lining and the tulle isn't scratchy.  Tillie loves it.  Teddy's longalls are Mud Pie that I found at Goodwill.  He's kind of fond of the alligator.

Rainbow Lovebirds

I bought Tillie this Boden shirt last fall at Nordstrom Rack.  She has matching terry shorts too, but we haven't broken though out yet this season. ;)  She's also wearing H&M rib-knit jeans.  It's a sunny day, so even though there's snow on the ground we have hope for spring!

Palm Sunday

My baby in a tie.  He looks like a mini-version of a high school basketball player on game day.  The Cherokee tie is from Target's after Christmas clearance, either 50-70% off.  The button-up is Teddy Lu and the cargos are Gap Naval Academy.

Tillie's wearing that other Tea outfit that I couldn't believe I hadn't posted on here before.  She's worn it a ton and it's decidedly shorter on her than when I first bought it.

Knights!

Friday was half off clothing at my local thrift store.  I happened upon these two Calvin College tees and I couldn't pass them up.  50¢ each?!  What makes it funny is that we already own the shirt Tillie is wearing in another 3t.  I just couldn't leave it there.  This one seems to have been washed and dried on a higher temp than I do because it's a little smaller.  Teddy's is a 2t, it's a little big, but I wanted them to wear matching shirts because Calvin started tournaments today!

Teddy's also wearing Old Navy jeans and Robeez.  Tillie is wearing a crewcuts ruffle skirt, Cherokee knee socks and Circo Fuggs.

Valentine's Day!

It's finally here!  You may have noticed that there was no post of their red and pink outfits yesterday.  That's because I had food poisoning and no one changed out of pajamas all day long.  (Something that I don't think ever's happened over here before.)  They were both wearing red, um, *cough* Christmas *cough* pajamas, so maybe that counts?  I might have at least Teddy wear the last outfit I was planning tomorrow.

Today!  Tillie's wearing a black H&M layering tee, red velvet Old Navy dress, Gap Valentines heart tights and black Stride Rite shoes.  I feel like this dress is already shorter than when she wore it at Christmas.  Crazy.

Tim even surprised her with a Valentine on her door this morning.

My little man Ted is wearing an H&M elbow-patch cardigan, The Children's Place gingham button-up, Gap Naval Academy jeans, Freycoo shoes and a sweet little heart bow tie that I made him.

The tie didn't turn out exactly how I planned, but since it was sewn entirely out of material from my stash it's just perfect for likely one day of wear.

Maybe sometime when I'm borrowing Philip's camera I'll dress them up again so I can get better pictures of their outfits.  I think they look so cute together today.  (Not that they don't every day, but, you know.)

Solids and Stripes

Tillie was wearing a Matilda Jane dress this morning.  When she was eating her yogurt at lunch she spilled, so I sent her to her room to find something new to wear.  After a few minutes she came back with a solid pink Cherokee layering tee and solid navy Hanna Andersson livable leggings.  Wow, festive.  (It wasn't really fair because she can't get any skirts or dresses because they're all hanging in her closet.)  When we decided to go outside for a walk I added this Gap striped cardigan and Circo Fuggs for extra warmth.  She picked the "dark pink" So Dorable bow.

Purple Penguins

Today was bring something purple for show and tell day.  (Tillie calls 'show and tell' 'talent show', which I think is adorably awesome.)  I figured I might as well dress her in something purple too.  I bought this Gymboree Winter Penguin dress last February on sale the week we decided to send her to preschool.  It just seemed like a "preschool" dress to me.  She's wearing it with black Hanna Andersson leggings and Circo Fuggs.  Tillie picked the light purple bow because it matched one of the bows a penguin on the dress is wearing.
