Paisley and Polos

Even though we're at Camp and outside for church, I still dress the kids in "Sunday clothes".  My weird hang-up is woven(or sweater) dresses for Tillie and collars for Ted.  Of course there are exceptions, but it's my general guideline.  Tillie is wearing a Liberty of London for Target dress that I bought two years ago.  Teddy is wearing a Ralph Lauren romper I got at a garage sale.

Sail Boats and Twirls

Tillie's worn this tiered polka dot Carter's dress many times.  It checks off everything on a 3 year olds list.

I like that it's cool for the hot days we've been having and that my mom only paid about $2 for it.  She looks great, but it's okay if something happens to it because it was so cheap.

Teddy is wearing a Gap double layer bodysuit from the Portmeirion line.  I've paired it with plaid OshKosh shorts from Reuben.  I love plaid on little boys.

Gingham and Polka Dots

I bought Tillie this crewcuts dress last week.  I just love it.  I even bought Kizie a matching one!  Tillie likes the "pokey dots" on the flutter sleeves.  (Side note, until recently she called polka dots "dolka pots".  I kind of miss it, but pokey dots is cute too.)  Teddy is wearing the Koala Kids overalls he wore two weeks ago.  It's not the best picture because I quick took it indoors before we all had to leave so I could get to work on time.

More Gap Galicia

This line was designed for my child, I swear!  Teddy is wearing a Gap Galicia "Happy Camper" bodysuit and striped knit shorts.  The shorts are 6-12m and I think they run a little big.

Tillie is wearing a Gymboree Cape Cod Cutie striped top and denim shorts I bought on sale last summer with Gymbucks.

Errands Day

We took this second 90+* day as a sign that we needed to run into town to use the air conditioning at Target.  Tillie wore a Ralph Lauren pique set that I got at a garage sale.  The little roll-up shorts are so cute, but I wish they had button tabs on both sides so that they would stay rolled up.  Tillie picked her strawberry Tevas to wear.  They're from a garage sale too.

The pique just seemed too heavy for 93*, so after a short swim and a nap Tillie changed into this H&M butterfly dress.  It's the same style as her blue one -- only $5!  She requested these sparkly Morgan and Milos.  I got them free at a garage sale!   My mom got her the Lands' End clip.

 I said to her, "Do you want braids, pigtails or a ponytail?  It's kind of hot for just a clip."  She replied, "I want a ponytail like you mom, but with a clip."

Other Hot One

Today Teddy is wearing Gap Galicia bodysuit.  It says, "My Nature Hike" and has a jar with all the things found on the hike.  Most perfect shirt ever for one of Tim's kids.  I'm generally not a fan of the "just a onesie" look, but it's too hot today.

Transportation

I bought this Zutano romper at a garage sale last summer in case I had a boy.  I love all the different vehicles on it, even if Tillie calls all of them "race cars".  My mini-van?  A race car in her book.  I promise I don't really drive that fast.

"In Town"

We had a few library books and a DVD that needed to be returned today so after breakfast we ran into Rockford.  Teddy wore gingham Koala Kids shortalls I got at Goodwill.  I just got him the 0-6 Pediped sandals this week at a consignment store because the 6-9m Robeez ones I bought last winter are still way too big.  Tillie's wearing a Gymboree Tropical Bloom dress I bought from my cousin.

Trying to Stay Cool

It's a warm day at Camp.  Teddy is wearing an Old Navy romper I got at a garage sale.  I love plaid on this little guy.

Tillie's wearing the garage sale Baby Nay dress I posted about a few weeks ago.  This is a little better picture of it.  She's wearing it with ecco sandals that are also from a garage sale and new Gap heart sunglasses that she just had to have.

Race Cars

Tillie has been calling every vehicle she sees a race car this week.  (Oh, you didn't know I raced my Sienna?)  She was pretty excited when she saw Teddy's race car shirt this morning.  It's a hand-me-down from Reuben and I believe it was a hand-me-down to him from his cousin because it's Gymboree from 2005's Traffic Jam line.  Gymboree was way cuter back then.  (I wish I had saved more of Kizie's clothes for Tillie!)  He's wearing it with Old Navy jeans.

Gorgeous and Sunny

The weather today is amazing.  It was perfect for garage saling with friends.  Tillie was too busy trying out toys and did not want her picture taken.  This was the best I got.  She's wearing her Mini-Boden "coffee" tee, crewcuts chambray ruffle skirt and necklace, her Urban Baby Bonnet along with her new Salt-Water sandals.  I gave up on finding used ones and bought these Swimmers from Zappos.  They're a different style from last year, but I thought they would look cute in white and match nearly everything.

Teddy was a much more willing participant.  He's finally fitting into size 6-9 months so I pulled out Reuben's bin in that size this week.  These are his Osh Kosh plaid shortalls with a Carter's bodysuit.

Wooden Shoe Rather Be Dutch?

I never did find a tiny Dutch costume for Teddy.  I didn't really try too hard; I was too cheap to buy one for just one year.  He just wore a cute outfit when we went to Dutch Village last week, but I was having a hard time doing that for Tulip Time.  So, last night I ran to Field's Fabric to find some yellow-ish fabric, had Tim draw me a shoe and whipped up this bodysuit.

In this picture he's also wearing a Gap Portobello sweater, Gap jeans and Pediped shoes.  The shoes are size 6-12m and he kicked them off while I was feeding him before we left.  It also ended up being a lot warmer than I planned so it didn't wear the sweater in Holland.

Around 9:30 when I got the fabric out of the dryer I realized I didn't have and Heat n Bond.  I really wanted to get it done last night so I improvised.  I cut out the shape, used Wash Away Wonder Tape to hold it in place one the bodysuit and used a tight zig zag stitch to hopefully prevent fraying.  It pulls a little in places, but it wasn't bad for what I had to work with!

Tillie wore her Dutch costume, handmade by a grandma in Jenison.  I bought it on Craigslist a couple years ago.

Hooded Cardigan

It was a lovely afternoon, so while Tim and Tillie did some yardwork, I set Teddy up in the backyard for some pictures.  He's a much more willing model than Tillie.  You know, he still laughs when I do crazy things and doesn't run away.  I have my brother's Canon T3i for a few days.  I really have no idea what I'm doing, but it's so fun to mess around with.

Teddy's worn this Gap sweater before, but I just love it.  First of all, it's a sweater that actually runs true to size.  Is it just me, or do sweaters usually run larger?  Second, those cute little bears.

Simple

I kind of love plain white Carter's bodysuits under overalls.  These ones are Gap and I bought them at a garage sale last summer.

Party Clothes

We went to my niece's birthday party this afternoon.  Tillie wore her Matilda Jane Bobbi Jo dress and Hotline Polkie Flare leggings.  My mom got the leggings at a garage sale recently.  They're a size 4 and I rolled the waist once.

Teddy had on this Gymboree Tiny MVP rugby top and cargo chinos.  My mom bought him this outfit shortly after he was born.

Sunday Afternoon

Tillie found these Pampili shoes in her closet yesterday and really wanted to wear them.  They're a little too big so I didn't think they'd work for our day of hiking around Camp.  They were still in the living room today and she insisted on them.  They're a pretty good match for the crewcuts dress that I bought at the outlet over Spring Break.  This dress is a little short, so I'm going to have to find leggings for her to wear under it.

I had my mom buy the shoes for her from MyHabit last summer.  I didn't know it when we ordered them, but the toes light up.  Tillie thinks this is awesome.

Teddy is wearing a Gap bodysuit(Reuben's) with Gymboree Doggone Cute pants.  It's a really great match for brand mixing!  He has a matching bodysuit for these pants, but I just haven't gotten a picture of it yet.  My mom found it on sale shortly after he was born.

Hearts

Here's a little Valentine's Day preview for you all today.  It's not red and pink week yet, but I couldn't resist waiting any longer to pull out these Gap heart tights I got at a garage sale last summer.  I bought the navy short-sleeved crewcuts dress on sale last summer and the crewcuts cardigan is from a year ago.

Layered Stripes

It's another cool snowy day.  Tillie wanted to wear this Mini-Boden "coffee" tee.  I wasn't in a cardigan mood, so I layered and Old Navy tee under it.  The Old Navy cord skirt was from the lot I bought on craigslist.  She wore her Morgan and Milos when we went out, but insisted on the Hush Puppies slippers at home.  She loves these things and asks to wear them whenever we go out.  I let her wear them to Target once last week.

Knot Top

When I pulled this Georgia Grace top out of Tillie's closet I kind of thought it would be too small and I was planning on putting it away in the 2t bin.  Tillie saw it and insisted on wearing it.  I knew the matching ruffle pants would be too short for winter, so I paired it with her crewcuts jeans.  There was still room to layer a Cherokee tee under it, so I think she'll be able to wear it again this summer without anything under it.
