Tim will be gone all day today because of parent/teacher conferences. I know. Apparently I'm the only one who cared that Valentine's day was the worst possible day for conferences. No dinner out tonight for me. I took the kids to the Gardens so that today would still feel special. We got there at 10a, right as story time was starting. To my surprise, BOTH of them loved it. Teddy happily sat on my lap and Tillie even raised her had to take a turn placing something on the felt board.
Tillie wore her Matilda Jane Sparkletown Holiday knot dress for the first time. I bought it last summer during a 65% off sale. She found it in the closet last week and has been carrying it around the house every day since. (Yeah, she likes to play with clothes. I have no idea where she gets that from.) I layered it over a white Gap dress and Gymboree tights.
I found this Mud Pie striped hooded sweater one-piece for Teddy at Buy Buy Baby after Christmas when it was 75% off. I thought it would be great for Valentine's Day. Also, I like red on my kids.
We did it! Valentine's week is complete. It always feels like I have so many options to chose from after limiting myself to red and pink all week.
