Peter Pan Collars

Look at this sweet girl.  Can you believe she'll be 1 in a week and a day?!  I bought this Lands' End romper at a garage sale when I was pregnant with Teddy.  I'm a sucker for peter pan collars.  It's 6-12m and I have no hope of it fitting Beatrix this summer, but today it's suppose to be 68*, even if it is raining and storming.  We're staying home, so she'll be fine.

White Leggings

Today Tillie's wearing a Lands' End chambray tunic and boutique lace leggings.  We had to get another time wearing white leggings to school while it's still snowpants season!

Chambray

We went out for brunch this morning and I just wasn't feeling any of Bea's clothes.  (I know, shut up.)  I found this Gap Love Collection dress in her closet and decided to try it on even though it's 12-18m.  It's big, but it worked since she's tall.  I found it at Goodwill for a $1.  I couldn't believe it!  I wanted to buy it last year at Gap, but since she didn't need it I resisted.  (See Tim, I don't buy everything I want.)  Her leggings are Gap Galicia and her boots are Gap as well.  (I never did figure out what line they're from.  I bought them last winter.)  Her clip is Little Sweet Pea Crochet.  (Parentheses.)

Last Warm Day?

The weather forecast after today looks very fall-like.  Beatix is wearing a Gymboree Daisy Giraffe romper I bought for 50¢ at a garage sale.  Her little clippie one I made 4 years ago for Tillie and it's a perfect match!

Tillie's wearing a crewcuts sequin heat tee, Lands' End skort and Circo shoes.  The skort was $1 at a garage sale and is perfect for school since it has bike shorts build in.  Also, the "HAPPY" on her tee, the skort and shoes are pretty much all the exact same color!  That's a fun match from three separate stores.

Boats & Waves

There's an ocean theme at preschool this week, so we decided to go with that today.  Tillie is wearing a crewcuts porthole tee over a white Cherokee layering tee.  Her coral cord skirt is Lands' End.  She wore her blue Converse to school since it was gym day.  And, since it's going to be 50* today we went with bare legs -- because we could!

Teddy is wearing a crewcuts boat tee over his new fire truck tee.  He wasn't too happy about covering the fire truck up, but he was won over when I told him the boat matched Tillie.  His jeans are Gap and his gray slip-ons are Circo. (I think he's actually moving into size 6 shoes now!)

This shirt has print on the back too.  That always makes me happy.

Arrgh!

It ended up being lovely out today, but it was still rainy this morning before we had to leave for Spanish Camp.  (Spanish Camp makes it sound so important, it's really just a shorter version of her Spanish immersion preschool.)

Ted looked pretty cool in this Gap pirate tee, faded red Gap shorts and light gray Cons.  I bought the shoes from Piperlime with a referral credit this spring so they were only $6.  Can't beat that!

Tillie wore a Gap Playtime Favorites dress I bought a long time ago in Lansing.  Sale was 40% off, plus I had a 25% coupon that stacked on top of it.  I bought a huge shopper full of things that day for so cheap.  A lot of it Tillie has worn already and some was for Kizie who was with me that day.  The hot pink leggings are Carter's I got at a consignment sale this spring.

ROAR!

Teddy loves animals.  He's especially fond of anything that will roar.  I found these CachCach overalls at the Twice Nice thrift store during their 10 for $8 season clearance last week.  He's also wearing a Carter's bodysuit and Robeez boots.

Today was blue day at school for Tillie.  She was to dress in blue and bring something blue for show and tell.  On purple day she brought Emmy wearing a purple dress.  Today she insisted Emmy come again in a blue outfit.  It's kind of weird because Aggie is definitely her favorite doll.  She's wearing a blue Mini-Boden popcorn tee, navy crewcuts ruffle skirt, navy and white striped Old Navy leggings and a blue seersucker Lands' End clip.

(For the record, she named all of her dolls.  I have no idea where she came up with the names.)

Tuesday-Tuesday

After the sunshine in the Conservatory of the Gardens yesterday, today seems so cold!  Of course Tillie picked cropped leggings today.  Her dress and leggings are both Lands' End.  The dress is from a garage sale and I think the leggings are from another one.  The Morgan and Milo shoes are also from a garage sale. Perfect for preschool!

Teddy's wearing a Gap Himalaya hooded tee (from Goodwill), Old Navy jeans and Livie and Luca shoes.  He loves shirts with animals and kept roaring at me while I was putting it on him.  Then he was very insistent that we do not stop playing to take a picture.

Mr. Man & Girly-Girl

Today Teddy is rocking a heart tie bodysuit I made when Tillie was a baby.  I sold a few of them then, but this tie was crooked so I remade it for my friend.  This one I kept and it's never been worn, until I remembered it this weekend.  It worked well under a Gap Military Prep cardigan and Naval Academy skinny jeans for church today.

I love this guy.

Navy in January

I love navy in the new year.  It probably has something to do with the new resort line that came out ever January.  It was nearly always navy and you could be sure that there would be some stripes.  After having worked there for eight years I think it's in my blood now.

Tillie's wearing a crewcuts cardigan and dress, Lands' End tee and pink shimmer Cherokee tights.  It's not the best outfit with this dress that she's worn, but the new shimmer tights were requested.  I found them at Target yesterday 70% off.  Sure, I'll let you have pink shimmer tights for $1.50.  She just got the necklace from the J.Crew Factory Store in Michigan City on our way home from Chicago.  (Hello, 40% off sale!)

Teddy's wearing a sweater from The Children's Place that my Aunt gave us when he was born.  I layered it over a chambray shirt from Old Navy(garage sale) and his Gap Naval Academy cargo chinos.  He looked so cute today.  Like a little man.  The sweater is size 18m and seems to run a little big, but I've never understood sizing at TCP.  They don't even have a 2t...

"I don't like brown."

I convinced Tillie to wear this Matilda Jane Fawn dress by adding the flowered Lands' End knee highs and crewcuts multicolored necklace.  Brown is not her favorite color, so of course I have this dress in two sizes.  I bought them both super-cheap during a sale.  I originally bought a 4, but it was so big that the next time they were on sale I bought a 2.  This is the 2 and it's still too big.  It's kind of weird, but the cotton is super-soft and thick.

This was the first time I sent her to school in Matilda Jane and I was a little nervous.  I'm not really attached to this dress at all. but I still didn't want anything to happen to it.  They even went on the playground today and all is good!

Another Cool Morning

It felt like late September as I was hanging clothes on the line this morning!  Weird.  It's suppose to be 80* tomorrow again.  I love fall, but I'm not quite ready for summer to end yet.  It is, however, fun to pull some long sleeves out of the closet!

Tillie is wearing a crewcuts "sweatshirt", pink Land's End tee and crewcuts bermudas today.  The bermudas are size 4, but I've really cinched in the adjustable waist.  Teddy is wearing a Circo half-button shirt I bought at a consignment sale this Spring.  (You know, back when I heard it was going to be a cool summer...)  It's 12m, but it should fit him for a while this fall.  He wearing the Old Navy khaki shorts that he's worn a million times this summer.  They were totally worth whatever price I paid for them -- I know it was under $2!

Errands Day

We took this second 90+* day as a sign that we needed to run into town to use the air conditioning at Target.  Tillie wore a Ralph Lauren pique set that I got at a garage sale.  The little roll-up shorts are so cute, but I wish they had button tabs on both sides so that they would stay rolled up.  Tillie picked her strawberry Tevas to wear.  They're from a garage sale too.

The pique just seemed too heavy for 93*, so after a short swim and a nap Tillie changed into this H&M butterfly dress.  It's the same style as her blue one -- only $5!  She requested these sparkly Morgan and Milos.  I got them free at a garage sale!   My mom got her the Lands' End clip.

 I said to her, "Do you want braids, pigtails or a ponytail?  It's kind of hot for just a clip."  She replied, "I want a ponytail like you mom, but with a clip."

Spring Break Day 6

Our last day in North Carolina.  We're actually leaving around 9pm tonight.  We drove down to Cape Hatteras to see a couple lighthouses today.  I really didn't plan it, but the only shirt left that Tillie hadn't worn was her Lands' End lighthouse one.  It's even a swirly blue and white one!  She wasn't very happy to be there, but she was excited when she saw that they were so similar.  It was cool. rainy, and windy so I made her wear her Urban Baby Bonnet too.  I forgot her jacket at the beach house.  I didn't intend to pack them, but these "new" Primigi pink mary janes were what Tillie was wearing when we left last Friday.  I bought them at a garage sale for $3 a couple weeks ago.

Teddy wore his Gap jeans again, with a Carter's bodysuit and Crazy 8 polo.  My mom got the polo super-cheap right after Teddy was born.  I think long-sleeves look cute under polos and it extends the time he can wear them weather-wise!

Spring Break Day 4

Today we went for a hike in Corolla, the most northern part of the Outer Banks with roads.  We hiked in the woods and actually saw wild horses!  It was the warmest day of the week.

Teddy wore his Camp acorn tee and Gap jeans like he did a week ago, but we added a Gap Galicia "Happy Camper" bib.  He'll be sporting a lot of this camping themed line this summer.

No-Nap Tillie was not as enamored by our trip in the woods.  I tried to get better pictures, but this is the one where you can see the outfit best.  It's also a pretty accurate depiction of how she spent a lot of vacation.  Next trip I will see to it that she takes naps instead of trying to get her to sleep in the car/stroller.  She's wearing a Lands' End ice cream tee, H&M layering tee, crewcuts skirt and Salt-Water sandals.

The blue tee and sandals are from last summer, the white layering tee and skirt are for this summer.  Spring Break is a great time to pull out favorites from last year that still fit!

Spring Break Day 2

Today's day trip was to Roanoke Island.  Teddy wore an H&M polo and tattersall pants.  I layered a white bodysuit under it because it's a little cool and windy here.  The Gap socks are a perfect match for the Portmeirion line, but I'm not sure which line they are from.

Tillie wore a Lands' End "treasure chest" tee, white Gap layering tank, white Carter's cropped denim, crewcuts cardigan, and Salt-Water sandals.  She really liked it when she found "gold coins" at the gift shop.

Acorns!

Teddy is wearing the acorn bodysuit I made for Tillie's first summer at Camp.  Tillie is wearing the acorn tee I made for her last summer.  As you can see, we're having a great day.

Yes, it's cold.

Tillie insisted that we take pictures outside with babydoll and her stroller this morning.  I decided to just go with it.  I'm guessing she craved the vitamin D.  She's wearing a Lands' End dress, Gymboree tights and pink sparkle Circo shoes.  She asked for the pigtails, too.

I found more red items for Teddy to wear in Reuben's hand-me-downs.  This Carter's fleece jacket has matching fleece pants, but I paired it with his Genuine Kids overalls and a gray and white Carter's bodysuit instead today.

Happy New Year!

My kiddos are starting the new year out with bright and cheery Mini-Boden.  Teddy is wearing his hippo applique tee with a Carter's bodysuit and Old Navy jeans.  After looking at this picture I've decided it's time to un-cuff the jeans.  He's getting tall!

Tillie's wearing the bunny applique tee and cord skirt that she's worn before.  This time we added some bright pink Lands' End cropped leggings.  When we went out this morning (to get milk in case we really do get snow) she wore her Circo Fuggs and all of her legs were covered.

My Favorite Dress

The Matilda Jane Pearl.  It's now a shirt.  I will be so sad when she outgrows it.  I have a search on eBay for a bigger size, but I don't know I'll be able to afford one.  Sometimes they go for over retail.

Today she's wearing it with a brown Lands' End tee, crewcuts jeans and Circo "Uggs".
