Goodness, she looks so old in this outfit!  Carter's bodysuit, vintage Christmas dress(mine!), Gap skinny jeans and Gap boots with a Dear Grace & Parker glitter bow.

Hand-Me-Downs

Today Beatrix is wearing a sweater that was mine, Carter's bodysuit that was Tillie's, Gap skinny jeans that are just hers and Robeez boots that were Teddy's.  The kids thought this was so funny.

Another Warm One

I got Teddy these "vintage" Carter's shortalls from Goodwill last summer. I think they're so sweet. They're actually missing a button on the left side strap so I could make them short enough to stay up.  I changed him into his favorite fire truck romper after breakfast, but this was cute while it lasted.

Tillie is wearing a  Gap linen/Cotten blend dress that is also from Goodwill.  She thinks it's so beautiful. It's probably cooler than most other things she could have worn today.  As you can see, she was all about getting her picture taken today.  The pose was all her, however.  (I'm getting pretty bored of Camp outfits.  I can't wait to dress them in some nicer clothes in about 2 weeks.)

Easter!

We had a lovely day of church, dinner at my mom's, an egg hunt and eating too much candy.

Tillie wore a dress that my mom made for me when I was little.  She was so excited to wear it.  She's wearing the Mini-Boden white tulle skirt that she wore last year under her Easter dress again this year along with a crewcuts cardigan.  The t-strap shoes are Stride Rite from a consignment sale a year or so ago.  I was hoping she would be able to wear her yellow Salt-Water sandals, but it was quite cool out.

Teddy wore linen longalls I made him.  I love Easter longalls.  His bodysuit is Carter's and he's also wearing white leather shoes like he wore last year.  I got these for 99¢ at Goodwill.  There's just not another style of shoe that works better with an outfit like this.

Tillie forgot her bonnet at home for church and in the car at my mom's, but she was so excited about it this year.  She tried to get Tim to go home from church to pick it up.

And, another picture of my sweet boy who was not thrilled with my photo shoot.  You can see his shoes better here.

Little Leprechauns

St. Patrick's Day on a Sunday really throws me.  My kids don't really have church clothes in kelly green.  So, we have a couple of random outfits.

Tillie's wearing a vintage Minnie by Lilly Pulitzer dress I got at  Goodwill last September.  She's also wearing crewcuts leggings, Old Navy shoes, Gymboree Batik Summer necklace and an an orange Crayola clip.  (We are Protestant, you know.)

Tillie loves the cat print.

Teddy's wearing a Crazy 8 flannel shirt under a Mini-Boden tiger tee.  The chinos are Gap Naval Academy.
It's too bad the Tiger wasn't actually orange, it would have been the perfect shirt for him today.

Trick or Treat!

We went Trick or Treating in downtown Holland today, which was perfect since it's suppose to rain on Halloween.  I bought Teddy his Carter's dog costume at Meijer last year after Halloween at 75% off.  When I pulled out the Halloween costumer bucket I realized I didn't buy anything for Tillie.  I figured my holidays of coordinating their costumes are limited, so I wanted to keep it up while I still can.  A couple weeks ago I posted on facebook for a costume for Tillie if Teddy was going to be a dog.  My friend Katie suggested that Tillie be a lady and Teddy could be her dog.  When I gave Tillie this option it took a day, but then she proudly told anyone who asked, "I'm going to be a fancy lady and Teddy's going to be my dog."

As it turns out I bought a white faux fur size 4 coat at a thrift store when Tillie was 1.  For 99¢ I couldn't resist it for dress-up.  It's hung in the back of our coat closet ever since then.  I wanted her to wear a hat, but I didn't have one.  I kept checking Goodwill, but never found any hats other than the random ball cap.  Randomly 2 weeks ago my mom watched my kids one morning while I ran errands.  I rarely do this so I made the most of my time and stopped at 2 Goodwills.  What do you know, I found the most perfect "fancy lady hat.  It was too small for me, so I knew it would be great for Tillie.  It had a strap to hold it on her head and it was only $4.99.  When I found the navy had I decided to just let her wear the navy crewcuts dress.  It's currently her favorite item of clothing and asks to wear it whenever she sees it.  The necklaces are Gymboree and crewcuts.  Fancy ladies always have a lot of accessories, you know.  Tillie actually hates the coat, but it was cold out so she begrudgingly accepted it.

I even did her hair "fancy" using this pin I accidentally found this morning.  It would work better with longer hair, but it was still darling.

This is the second year in a row that I've picked out Teddy's costume first and coordinated Tillie to him.  Next year, if they both agree, I already have Tillie's costume.  I'm pretty sure Tillie will love it and that I'll have no problem convincing a 2 year old to be what I want him to.  You'll just have to wait a whole year to find out!

He is Risen Indeed!

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter.  Ours was pretty good.  We walked to the church just down the street because we thought the kids might revolt if we put them in the car after driving 17 hours Friday/Saturday.  We had food with family and searched for eggs.  Lovely.

Tillie wore a Mini-Boden dress I bought at Nordstrom Rack for $13 last October.  I actually bought it the day before Teddy was born!  She discovered that her Beverly Hills Polo Club ballet flats from last year still fit, so she wore those along with last year's crewcuts cardgian.  I made her bow, but it wasn't a great match.  Coral ribbon can be hard to find!

I looked for some longalls to buy first, but I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for.  After I won an eBay auction for a crewcuts argyle cardigan I figured I would have to make the longalls to get what I wanted.  I made them 2 months ago and I predicted that he would grow a little taller than he did.  I bought the white shoes with bells at at consignment sale for $1.50.  I thought they were perfect with this classic little baby look.

I like how their outfits "go" together without being too matchy.

Birthday Party

For my brother Matthew's birthday lunch Teddy wore a Janie and Jack Winter Walrus shirt I got at a consignment store(50% off!) and Gap khaki cords.  The shirt is size 0-6 months.  I think that's such a bizzare size.  What item will fit a baby from newborn to 6 months?  It's still a little big on him.

I put Tillie in a dress that was mine as a little girl before lunch just to take her picture.  She didn't want to take it off before we went to my brothers' house.  "Grandma will LUB it."  Sizes used to be a lot more inaccurate.  This dress is a 4 and is SUPER-short.

Vintage Tillie

Tillie's wearing a Polly Flinders dress that was mine as a toddler.  I think the blue probably looks better on her than it did me.  But, I don't remember any pictures of me in this dress.
