Camp Kids

Teddy decided that he and Bebe should match today.  They're both wearing Camp acorns.  Beatrix has hers with an Old Navy denim skirt, Gap leggings and Robeez.  Teddy has a crewcuts tee and Gap jeans.

Camp Love

The two big kids are rocking acorn tees today.  Tillie's stripe shirt was a "Christmas" gift from Camp.  All three kids got one, but Bea and Ted need a little more growing time for theirs.  Tillie should be able to wear hers for a while.  She's wearing hers with shorties I made from Old Navy leggings.
Before I received the new striped acorns Tim had asked for a navy acorn to be made for Ted.  He hasn't had an acorn tee since 12m and he LOVES to match his Daddy.  He's wearing it with Gap patchwork madras shorts.

Long Sleeves

I laid out all of the kids clothes for the whole week last Friday.  This morning I had to dig in their drawers to find long sleeves for layering!

Ted's worn this crewcuts "Sea Legs" tee and Gap Americana shorts recently, but I really love the two pieces together.  Also, since Til is wearing a shirt about the sea, I thought it would be cute to match.

Tillie's is wearing a crewcuts outfit with a "The sea is my home" tee and cowgirl shorts.  The gold Salt-Waters were from J.Crew sale a couple years ago as well.

Little Bea is wearing a Gap striped dress I got for 50 cents at the thrift store.  Paired with a red Dear Grace & Parker bow, she's a reverse flag.

Teddy spilled his grape juice at breakfast and Tillie was complaining about the sequins itching, so they both wanted to change clothes by 9:15.  Fine.  I pulled out the staff kid shirts from 2 years ago and added a Gap Surf skirt for Tillie and Osh Kosh jeans for Teddy.  If I had been thinking I would have saved yesterdays striped Mini-Boden baggies for Ted, but that might have been over the top matching anyway.

Camp Wear

The kids got their new staff kid shirts today!

Bea is wearing hers with a long sleeved Carter's bodysuit and a Gap Capri diaper cover.  Yes, sign me up for more ruffled diaper covers, please!

Teddy is wearing his with Gymboree Turtley Cute shorts from last summer.  Yep, he can still wear size 18-24m easily.  His flip-flops are Old Navy.

Tillie's wearing hers with a Gap Surf skirt and crewcuts flip-flops.  Her 5/6 shirt was bigger than I expected, so she got to rock a side knot.  She really liked it, if it came untied she had me redo it,

Garage Sale-ing

When we dressed this morning for garage sales I had no clue this would be the day BabySister would arrive!

Tillie's wearing a Camp dress with Hanna Andersson leggings and pink mary jane TOMS.  Ted is wearing a monster shirt from Goodwill.  There's no brand tag, but it is in European sizing.  His jeans are Crazy 8.  They were sold with the paint splatters, but the holes are just from typical boy wear.  (Not Ted though, I got them for a quarter at a sale.)

Light Blue

We cheated a bit today with our light blue staff kid shirts. They missed wearing them on opening day last week, so we thought the last full day of this session would be appropriate.  Tillie is wearing hers with a navy crewcuts shirt and Ted has his with red Gymboree Beach Crawler shorts.

Opening Day Apparel

Tillie and Teddy are both rocking their Camp staff kid shirts today.  Tillie is wearing 3t khaki shorts that she's already worn the last two summers.  They're decidedly shorter now.  Teddy is wearing turtle embroidered shorts from Gymboree's Turtle-y Cute line.  My mom bought them(and a matching plaid shirt) last fall when Gymboree had 50% off markdowns and we had a 20% off coupon.  We got TONS of 18-24m shorts for Ted this summer.  They're pretty much all too big.  I love that his shorts basically go to his ankle and you can't really see Tillie's shorts under her shirt. (Well, throughout the day, I pulled them down for this picture.)

Puddle Jumping

After dinner today the kids changed into some clothes to check out the flood park down the street from us.

Tillie is wearing a staff kid Camp shirt(2t - Teddy's), Old Navy jeans and Cherokee wellies.  The wellies are size 9/10.  Teddy is wearing a Sovereign Code(Nordstrom Rack) polo, Gap jeans and Hatley wellies.  The wellies are size 6.  He wears size 4.  Yeah, he couldn't really walk well.  Hence the reason I didn't change him out of his polo.  He rode in the Chariot for most of our walk.

Summer 2012 Staff Kid Shirts

Um, yes.  You read that right.  The staff kid shirts didn't come in until after we had moved home from the summer.  Because of that, I just ordered sizes that would fit the kids next summer.  Teddy's is a 2t(24m was only available in a bodysuit and I wanted a tee) and Tillie's is a 3t.  Oh, then there's the fact that they're wearing them today.  We had to take a new staff picture because the original was lost. Tillie and Teddy weren't in the first picture, so this was a bonus for me!

Teddy's is layered over a Camp acorn thermal and Tillie's wearing and Old Navy tee, crewcuts skirt and Gap Valentine tights.  W e had to find some way to girly up the boxy too big fit of the tee.

And I've now used this picture on both of my blogs and facebook.  I love it though.

His Father's Son

When I saw this Peek Appalachian Trail t-shirt at Nordstrom Rack yesterday I was super-excited.  Then I realized they only had it in 3-6 months.  It looked at little big, so I decided to take a chance.  Yep, my little guy can wear it!  I layered it over a Camp acorn thermal and Carter's jeans.

It says "Trail Blazer" on the back.

And "Maine to Georgia" on the sleeve.

Stripes

It's not *really* cool enough this morning to warrant pants, but they're such a cute match to his acorn tee that we did it anyway.  I'm sure he'll be in shorts when he wakes up from his nap.  Camp sent us the acorn bodysuit when he was born and I got the Carter's pants at a garage sale this spring.  The previous owners must have shrunk them because there's no way 9month pants should be short on my 15th percentile guy.  So, I guess they're manpris.  He's so trendy.

Tillie is wearing a non-matching Gymboree set.  I found the Mermaid Magic striped shorts at Goodwill a year or so ago.  I searched for a top at garage and consignment sales for a while and thought I made a match with this fish top.  Nope, it's actually from Gymboree Splash.  The blues aren't a perfect match, but it's good enough for me!  (And I have pretty high standards typically when it comes to matching.  My mom thinks it's ridiculous when I won't buy a cute cheap tee at Gymboree when there's not a matching bottom.)  Tillie loves the buttons on the short and the sequins on the fish.

Happy Campers

These two kiddos are loving it out here.  Teddy's Crazy 8 "Happy Camper tee tells the truth.  It's size 6-12m and is a little big.  I bought it last fall shortly after he was born.  He's also wearing Gap jeans.

By the afternoon it warmed up.  Tillie wore her staff kid shirt from last year with a crewcuts ruffle skirt.  I bought the skirt last summer from a sale online.  I did not realize it was made of rayon so I was a little disappointed when I opened the package.  Tillie likes the "twirly skirt" and I have to admit it's cuter on than I thought it would be.  When paired with a basic tee like this it's kind of sporty looking.

The Move

We're moving to Camp this weekend.  Today my mom and I are going over there to clean our apartment.  Tillie insisted on wearing the new dress I made her.  It's not my favorite, but I think it's mostly because of the t-shirt color I had to work with.  I also limited myself to using coordinating fabric I already had.  I added the pink ruffle this morning and I like it a lot better.  It's a size 3t and still a little big.  The sandals are Stride Rite and I got them at a garage sale.  I really wanted to get the Jumping Bean sandals she had last year, but I never found them in her size.

Teddy is wearing his Camp tee and Gymboree Golf Pro khaki shorts.  I got them at a Red Balloon Sale  shortly after he was born.  This is pretty much exactly an outfit Tim would wear.

Spring Break Day 4

Today we went for a hike in Corolla, the most northern part of the Outer Banks with roads.  We hiked in the woods and actually saw wild horses!  It was the warmest day of the week.

Teddy wore his Camp acorn tee and Gap jeans like he did a week ago, but we added a Gap Galicia "Happy Camper" bib.  He'll be sporting a lot of this camping themed line this summer.

No-Nap Tillie was not as enamored by our trip in the woods.  I tried to get better pictures, but this is the one where you can see the outfit best.  It's also a pretty accurate depiction of how she spent a lot of vacation.  Next trip I will see to it that she takes naps instead of trying to get her to sleep in the car/stroller.  She's wearing a Lands' End ice cream tee, H&M layering tee, crewcuts skirt and Salt-Water sandals.

The blue tee and sandals are from last summer, the white layering tee and skirt are for this summer.  Spring Break is a great time to pull out favorites from last year that still fit!

More Acorns

We went for a hike at Camp this afternoon.  Tillie insisted that she and Ted wear acorn tees.  This one was given to us by Camp when Teddy was born.  He's wearing it with Gap jeans and a Carter's bodysuit.

St. Patrick's Day

I had planned on my kids wearing Mini-Boden applique tees today.  Teddy's green tee even had an orange tractor on it.  Then the forecast said 80*.

I dug in Tillie's 3t bin for this summer and found this Gymboree Palm Beach Paradise set.  It's too big, but it's the right color!  I should have dug in the 2t bin, but that's in the attic and I didn't feel like going up there.  She was happy about the green alligator.  I bought it cheap last summer; I think with gymbucks.  The Ecco sandals were cheap at a consignment sale recently.  I thought they'd be great play shoes.  The will, when her feet grow...

She's yelling, "Surprise!"

Teddy is wearing a Camp romper that they gave us when Tillie was born.  It's 3-6 months, and it never really fit Tillie when it was hot.  Luckily we had this random heat wave so Teddy got a chance to wear it.

CampWear

Teddy's sporting a Camp romper today.  It's a good thing we have these hand-me-downs from Reuben.  I wasn't really planning on Teddy needing shorts in 3-6m size!  Plus, more acorns in one's wardrobe is always a good thing.  At least that's what Tim says.

Just as soon as I was done getting that shot, Teddy decided he was out of there too.  He's so close to rolling back to front.

Staff Kid Shirt

Tillie finally got her staff shirt.  It's fitting, this is our last session at Camp this year.  She was super-excited to put it on today.  Her shorts are Old Navy that I got at a garage sale.

At $8, this is by far the most expensive t-shirt she has worn at Camp.

A New Camp Dress

Tonight was the commissioning service for this summer of Camp.  I made Tillie this dress out of one of the new colors of acorn tees this year.  It was a little cooler than I thought it would be, so I layered a white Cherokee tee under it.

Wet and Rainy

Layers were key today.  Tillie's wearing Carter's jeans, a Cherokee tee and the Camp dress I made her.
