Palm Sunday!

Tillie's wearing a Matilda Jane dress I found at Once Upon a Child. (Symon's General Store dress from the Good Hart line)  It's still too cold for short sleeves, so she opted for an Old Navy tee and Gymboree leggings under it.  (The other options were a cardigan and tights.)  Emmie needed to be in the picture because she is also wearing a dress with leggings.

Sweet Pink Dress

I bought this Gymboree Holiday Teddy Bears dress when I was pregnant with Teddy.  Well he never wore it.  It's a 12-18m, so I thought it would be okay on Bea and probably wouldn't fit next summer.  I think the pink is a little too pale for her, but it is such a sweet dress.

Day 6

Look at this guy.  So freaking cute.

He's wearing a Gap striped v-neck tee(OUAC), Carter's gray skinny jeans(that are 3t and are actually skinny on him!) and TOMS.

My mom bought them the Carter's heart tees last year when I was still pregnant.  Tillie's wearing hers with a Hanna Andersson skirt and Circo tights and shoes.  She started out with this bow, but switched it out when she saw I had another one that was the same as Bea's.

Bebe is wearing her tee over a white Gap Peter Pan collared dress.  Her polka dotted socks are Gap(and I think navy dots, but I didn't have time to find anything else... They're dark!) and Gymboree shoes with a Carter's bow.

Valentine's Week!

Hooray!  Red and/or Pink Week is here!  I have the kids outfits planned for everyday and they have a lot of great things to wear -- too many options even.  I like red, pink and hearts, so it's on a lot of their clothes anyway.

Teddy is wearing red Gap skinny jeans and a Gap Urban Adventures chambray tee.  He had Livie & Luca fox shoes at church, but I didn't get a picture of him there.

Tillie's wearing a flutter dress I made years ago.  I think it's technically a McCall's size 2, but as you can see it runs super-wide.  It's just about too short for her as a dress, but with Gymboree tights and shorts under it it worked.  Her bow and necklace are DreamSpun and her shoes are Circo.

Valentine Preview

They're so cute and coordinated that I had to get at least more than one wear in before Valentine's Day!

When Tillie was a baby Valentine's Day fell on a Sunday. I had a outfit for two for her, but of course I had to get her a new dress! This year, it fits Beatrix.

Last spring at a consignment sale I found the same dress in a 5t. I couldn't believe it! How random to find a 4 year old Old Navy dress in good condition.

Bea's tights are Old Navy and Tillie's are crewcuts. They're both wearing Dear Grace & Parker felt bows. Tillie's shoes are Circo(Target) and Bea's are Gymboree(hand-me-down from Til.)

3rd Sunday of Advent

It was a busy morning with program practice, so this was the best picture I got of the girls together.  Beatrix is wearing an outfit that was Tillie's(Kizie had a coordinating one then!), Old Navy skirt and tights, Gymboree bodysuit and shoes with a Dear Grace & Parker bow.  Tillie's wearing a Benetton skirt(Goodwill), Children's Place tee, Target tights and Circo cat shoes.

Since Tillie was an angel during the program at night, I didn't want a dark outfit that would show through her costume.  I got her Gap dress from last year out of the attic and it still fits her very nicely!  Her cardigan is Gap(she took it off when she wore her costume) and her shoes are crewcuts.  She loves these shoes, but she doesn't get many opportunities to wear them.  I better find some outfits soon because they run a bit small and I don't think she'll be able to wear them for long.

2nd Sunday of Advent

I took the camera with me to church to take better pictures by the trees with better lighting there, but I left the memory card at home!  Maybe next week.

Last year I felt a lot of pressure to buy outfits for this year right when things got marked down.  Things were really picked over in Tillie's size, but I ended up with a gold Gap skirt I liked.  I bought a cute tee and cardigan to wear with it, but when I had her try it on together I didn't like it.  And, the size 5 skirt is a little roomy.  Maybe next year?  This is the Carter's dress I bought for Bea to wear.  I picked up a gold cardigan at Target for her to wear with it, but I didn't really like it together, I just liked how it coordinated with Tillie.  This morning I decided to be really lenient on Christmas colors and put at Gap Wayfarer cardigan my aunt gave her. With Gymboree patent leather maryjanes and a Dear Grace and Parker bow she's just too cute!

Teddy's wearing and Arizona button-up I got with a free $10 coupon from Penney's.  His black skinny jeans are Gap and his shoes are TOMS.  I know I said I was really excited about his outfit for this morning, but  decided to have him wear that to the Members Party at the Gardens tonight instead.

Tillie's wearing an Olive Juice dress I bought half off at a consignment store a few years ago.  It's a 4 and finally fits!  Her tights are Gymboree and her shoes are Circo.

Christmas Church Outfits

We were almost(okay, were) late for church this morning, so I didn't get many retakes this morning.  You can still kind of see their outfits.

Bea is wearing a polka dotted Old Navy dress I bought during their 50% off Black Friday preview sale.  Her headband is from a local school craft fair.  Her socks are Gymboree purchased when I was pregnant on a super-clearance and the shoes had been Tillie's.

Tillie's wearing a DreamSpun Christmas dress my mom got from their samples.  It has a little spot on the back neck, but her hair covers it.  She adores this dress and I quite like it on her too!  Her knee socks are Gymboree, her bow is Dear Grace & Parker and her shoes are Circo.  I made her necklace a year ago.  She has quite a few dressy Christmas outfits, but I think this one might be the winner for the church Christmas program.  We'll see how I feel on the 14th.

Teddy's wearing a Gap sweater and chambray shirt with Old Navy pants.  The pants are a 2t and actually getting a little short, but we paired them with striped Circo socks and called it good.  He was happy I told him to wear his gray TOMS today.  Gap has a version of this sweater every year and this 2t is from 2 years ago.  He wore it once for some pictures and I'm not very happy with how it washed up.  I think I need to take a sweater comb to it.

Scarily Cute Sisters

Golden Girl

With Bea's outfit you get a sneak peek of what she wore for our family pictures last week.  I adore this Gap Primary School dress.  I layered a Gap Fall Field Guide peter pan collar bodysuit under it.  The tights are Gymboree I got super-cheap last winter.  The Gap Country Cool shoes I had seen a sneak of and was hoping to get them for the pictures.  When they finally popped up online I immediately went to order them.  They were set to ship the 6th.  Our pictures were scheduled for the 8th.  I crossed my fingers and ordered them anyway.  Two days later they shipped!  The shoes are a great match to her Dear Grace and Parker camel bow.

Anyway, don't I have the cutest baby?

Tillie wore her Dreamspun dress.  I did end up getting her gray boots.  Kohl's keeps sending me $10 coupons because they recently remodeled our store, so I got these Jumping Beans ones for under $10.  The back of the neck of the dress has a gray bow, so I like how that is mimicked on the boots(and in her hair).

Teddy is wearing a Gap patterned button-up, Janie & Jack cardigan, crewcuts chinos an TOMS.  Hooray for brand mixing.  I think these pants might be too short soon. (p.s. That sweater is size 12-18m.    They have crazy sweater sizing.)

Fall Church

Here's my sweet Bea in a Carter's dress and cardigan my mom bought for Tillie when she was little.  The Gap Chelsea boots were Tillie's too, but the ruffle socks are all Bea's.

Tillie's wearing a Gap Elysian Fields sweater dress, Gymboree knee socks and Circo cat shoes.  I wish her socks had been navy so this outfit didn't look so "Go-Go", but she was happy.  The headband kept falling off this time, so once we got to church I just put the navy clip in.

Teddy's wearing an H&M button-up with blue Gap cords.  I bought the pants on super-clearance awhile ago.  I wish I had them in another color or two because they fit him really well.

Real Spring!

There are still crazy snow piles in our front yard, but today has a high of 63*!  We celebrated by wearing short sleeves.

Tillie is wearing a crewcuts sequin heart tee and K Bella Bambino ruffles with her pink mary jane TOMS.  You can tell she's gotten taller since last summer!

Ted is wearing a striped crewcuts tee with Gap Naval Academy skinny jeans and his JunkFood Star Wars slip-ons.  This is just such a "boy" outfit to me.  Ted is standing weird because his sunglasses fall off the moment he moves.  And I was worried about the 0-2 Gymboree glasses being too small.  They were only 60 cents, so I took the chance!

Sunny Sunday

Oh, these silly kiddos.  Tillie is wearing a crewcuts cardigan with a white Old Navy layering tank.  I just bought her Hen & Chic(I can find NOTHING about this "brand" online.  It's handmade.) skirt at a consignment sale Friday.  It has a wiener dog applique that wraps around the skirt.  Teddy thinks it's hilarious.  I actually bought it in 2 colors because they were only $5.  The other is more orange/pink/brown.  I think she'll wear this one this summer with a navy or white  favorite tank and the orange one next fall with boots and a brown tee.

Teddy is wearing a Gymboree button-up(thrift store), Circo tie, Sonoma pants and navy TOMS.  He didn't want to wear the tie.  I said, "It's kind of like a daddy tie."  He replied, "Kinda like, no."  I told him he had to try it anyway and then he left it on no problem.

Errands Day

Today we had a full agenda: doctor's appointment, mall, eye doctor, Family Fare, dance class and dinner out.  Yes, I am exhausted at the end of this day.

Ted is wearing a crewcuts hooded pull-over, Genuine Kid skinny jeans and checkered Vans.  (Shoes that he is apparently incapable of walking in on carpet.  He fell a bajillion times at the doctor's office...)

Tillie is wearing a crewcuts "9" shirt, Gap jeans, Gymboree knee highs and Cherokee boots.  I liked this outfit in theory, but something is "off" on it.  She told me she's going to wear this shirt on her birthday when she turns 9, but I suspect(hope!) that a size 4-5 shirt will be too small.

I don't think I've shared Tillie's dance clothes before.  It was all a Christmas gift and the leotard, tights, skirt and shoes are all Bloch.  Since it was the "performance" day, we added a crown braid and a big DreamSpun bow.  Her bun doughnut is from H&M.

And, if you want to watch a 1 1/2 minute dance performance by 3&4 year olds, I have a video for you!  I'll let you guess which girl Tillie said, "didn't listen" every week.

Gymnastics Day

Tillie had a field trip this morning to a local Gymnastics Center.  We picked out her clothes -- a short sleeved tee and cropped leggings from crewcuts -- the night before.  After we had the pile ready she added, "And when we get home we'll add a skirt!".  Ah, it appears I've successfully brainwashed her into "leggings are not pants."

Since Grandma was at home with Teddy we went to Target after the field trip.  We added her requested crewcuts skirt and a cardigan since it was wicked cold!  The Gymboree knee highs are a little dorky with the cropped leggings, but we had to keep her skin all covered.

Fire Truck Week!

Teddy would be all about this week's preschool theme.  Tillie doesn't have any police/fire fighter wear, so Ted got to rock his favorite Gap Playtime Favorites shirt today.  We hadn't paired it with red skinny jeans before, so it's kind of a fun option.  He insisted on his gray Star Wars slip-ons for preschool drop-off.  I suspect those shoes will be worn out before we could ever think about passing them down to another kid.

Tillie's wearing a Gymboree Girl Detective knit dress with Gymboree tulle leggings.  I got the dress at a garage sale a year or two ago.  It'd be a little short without leggings, but these pink ones work just fine with it.  Actually, it's a 4t, but oddly seems to run a little small.  Maybe I'll put it in the 3t bucket for little sister.  She wore her pink mary jane TOMS at school.

Sun! And Above Freezing!

We got a load of heavy wet snow last night which pushed us over the 100" of snow for this winter!  Snow day for Tim, but now the sun is out and it's actually above freezing.  We couldn't resist this and quick jumped outside for an outfit picture with the snow.  Clearly the kids aren't used to this much sun anymore since they wouldn't look at the camera.

Tillie's wearing an old favorite of hers, the crewcuts ruffle dress with Gymboree knee highs and Circo Fuggs.  She also requested a crown braid, which we hadn't done in a while.  I had enough energy today to do it!  Teddy's wearing a new H&M "stargyle"* cardigan I got for $3 last week.  It's a 1 1/2-2y, but runs generously.  Ted's wearing it with a white H&M tee(All his white tees are from H&M.  I really like them.), Genuine Kids skinny jeans and checkered Vans.

*Stargyle is so a thing.

Snow Week

The theme at school this week has to do with snow, so we thought it appropriate to wear her crewcuts snowflake shirt.  She can't wear the Gap snowflake jeans to school since she can't do the button, so we paired it with a crewcuts cord skirt and Gymboree tulle leggings.  Tillie insisted on her snowflake TOMS as well.  I told her that after the bathroom break at school it was okay to leave her shirt untucked, but she figured out how to tuck it in.  I was kind of impressed.

My mom bought Teddy this Genuine Kids outfit at Target about a year ago.  I was with her and picked it out, but I'm not loving it on him as much as I thought I would.  Both pieces are 24m, but they're still HUGE on him.  The jeans, as it turns out, are girl jeans.  We did buy them off the boy rack, but later I noticed little birds on the rivets and flowers in the lining.  I wish they fit like his other Genuine Kids jeans!  Maybe when it's actually spring it will fit better.
