Vacation Day

The kids have been counting down to our weekend at the Conference Grounds and it's finally here!  They have their backpacks stuffed with toys they want to take.  Tillie insisted they were in a picture.

Tillie is wearing a Hanna Andersson playdress and Livie & Luca Bloom sandals.  Teddy is wearing a Carter's polo, plaid Gap shorts and navy TOMS.

Last Day of Preschool

Tillie decided she wanted to leave preschool in style.  This is the dress she wore in a photoshoot last June for Dreamspun.  Her size 8 yellow Salt-Water sandals from last summer just fit.

1st Day of School!

Today for her first day of preschool Tillie wore a crewcuts shirting dress and coral ruffle front cardigan.  I bought both of them when I still worked at J. Crew.  Her headband is from littlebirdiesnest on Etsy and I bought it for our Christmas card pictures.  Of course it's warm out, so Salt-Water sandals were a must.

Preschool Open House

Tillie got a mini-version of 4 year old preschool today.  She thought it was too short with not enough playing time.

She wore her crewcuts cropped denim(3y -- I still can't believe I got these at Goodwill.  I LOVE them on her.) and sequin heart tee.  We bought these pink maryjane TOMS at Nordstrom Rack this summer and I made her save them for school.  She was so excited when I finally cut the tags off today.  She's been dying to wear them.  I wasn't planning on getting her a new backpack this year, but I got this SkipHop giraffe one for free last spring with Piperlime credits.  It seems like everyone has the owl backpack, so I like that she has something a little different now.

First Day of School!

Tillie's first official day of school was this morning.  I dropped her off at 8:45a and picked her up at 11:15a.

She wore a Gap Cannes dress, crewcuts cardigan, red Salt-Water sandals and a Goody clip.  She requested pigtails with a red clip.  I bought the dress in August to be her first day of school dress.  (It was on sale, plus I used rewards.  It was only 52¢ out of pocket!)  Then it cooled off a little and I was worried it wouldn't be warm enough so I bought her a crewcuts dress too.  I wasn't sure which one I should have her wear today so I let her pick.  Both options were red, white, and blue for Patriot Day.  That's just the way I roll.

It was weird running errands at the mall with just Teddy.  She had a little meltdown again when I picked her up.  I'm hoping that after a few weeks she'll get used to it all.  School is a big change for her! She likes it, but she likes playing independently more.  I don't blame her, there are a lot of fun toys in her classroom!

Practice Preschool

I was torn when I got Tillie's preschool mailing.  I knew that the 11th was the first day of Preschool, but I didn't know about the visiting day on the 6th when I was buying her "1st Day of Preschool Outfit".  You know, the important one?  Should she wear that outfit on the day when I leave her by herself, or the day when she gets her first one-hour-long-with-mom-there taste of school.

In the end, I saved her new outfit for the 11th.  So, for preschool visiting day she wore her Mini-Boden HotchPotch dress, crewcuts necklace, white Salt Water sandals, and Skip Hop owl bacpack.

We even did the practice 1st day of school pictures.
