Superheroes

My kids love superheroes.  When I found this Gap JunkFood Spiderman shirt at a JBF sale I knew Ted would flip.  It was $1.50 which made it easier to relent on my no loose "no licensed shirts" rule.  And, it's Gap -- maybe it doesn't count?  His jeans are 77Kids and his shoes are TOMS.  Obviously he had to pose with his new Spiderman scooter.

Beatrix is wearing hand-me-down Gap overalls from Tillie.  My mom bought them at a garage sale when Til was a baby.  Unfortunately I waited too long for Bea to wear them and they're too short on her.

Pirate Apples

Tillie's wearing a Mini-Boden apple tee I got at a consignment sale last week.  So far it seems like jeans are just the easiest to send her to school in.  These are Gap kid girl size 5 jeggings.  They're a little big.  I haven't messed around with trying on slims, but that might have been a better fit.  I bought these last winter super-cheap with GapCash.  She picked the OshKosh maryjanes and DreamSpun bow.

Ted's wearing a Gap JunkFood tee I got at a thrift store with garage sale 77Kids jeans.  Still firmly in 2t(okay...sometimes it's even big.  He is 28lbs now though!)

Little Strawberry

Beatrix is wearing a Carter's strawberry romper that was Tillie's.  It's not quite warm enough for it, but since I wanted her to wear it before she outgrew it we layered it over a bodysuit.  Her flower headband is Dear Grace & Parker.

Tillie is wearing a Naartjie outfit and Circo shoes.  Teddy is wearing crewcuts with Gap JunkFood slip-ons.

Mall Trip

Today we planned on staying home, but when I saw that there were free carousel rides at the mall I decided it was time for my big kids' first ride.  Tillie wore a Next dress(picture day dress!), Polka Dot Pearl leggings and pink mary jane TOMS.  Later we went to a garage sale and I made her switch to navy leggings, as she always ends up on the ground playing with toys.  I think I actually liked it better with navy.  This dress still has some growing room, so it will be a great kindergarten outfit!

Teddy's wearing a Gap rugby stripe shirt(garage sale), 77Kids jeans and Gap JunkFood Star Wars slip-ons.  He's happily carrying the fire truck pajamas and dinosaur tee my mom bought him.

While I unintentionally matched my older kids, Beatrix is not wearing blue.  (No, seriously, I haven't been getting enough sleep to think about coordination.)  She's wearing a Gymboree Cuddly Lambs one-piece.  If Teddy had been a girl it would have been the coming home outfit!  It's one of a few newborn size one-pieces that actually fit her.  (Although you can see that the arms are a little short...)  She's too tall for a lot of the sleep n' plays that Tillie wore.  Luckily I have quite a few gowns that she can wear to bed at night.

Gorgeous

The weather today is just perfect.  It's cooling off again for the rest of the week, but at least we can enjoy today!

Tillie's wearing a Hanna Andersson playdress I got at Costco last week.  There were a couple of patterns, but I was happy when she picked the on that was my favorite!  (I was sure she would go for the purple with polka dots.)  I didn't realize her smile was so wonky -- I quickly snapped this as we were walking into school.

Ted-Ted is wearing a Mini-Boden tee I got on clearance with a voucher last August.  His jeans are Gap and his shoes are Gap JunkFood.

Bea is wearing a Zutano hat/dress/leggings set I bought on Amazon with a crazy discount before I knew if we were having a girl or not.  We took the hat off so she could soak up some Vitamin D outside.

Real Spring!

There are still crazy snow piles in our front yard, but today has a high of 63*!  We celebrated by wearing short sleeves.

Tillie is wearing a crewcuts sequin heart tee and K Bella Bambino ruffles with her pink mary jane TOMS.  You can tell she's gotten taller since last summer!

Ted is wearing a striped crewcuts tee with Gap Naval Academy skinny jeans and his JunkFood Star Wars slip-ons.  This is just such a "boy" outfit to me.  Ted is standing weird because his sunglasses fall off the moment he moves.  And I was worried about the 0-2 Gymboree glasses being too small.  They were only 60 cents, so I took the chance!

Nautical Blues

Another cold "spring" day over here with a high of 27*.  I know it's too cold for Tillie to wear bare feet/ankles, but we just can't bear boots and tights anymore.  The sun was out, so it wasn't too freezing for the walk from the van to church!

Tillie is wearing a Mini-Boden cord dress over a Next tee with crewcuts anchor leggings.  Her bow is Dreamspun, her necklace and bracelet are crewcuts and her sparkle shoes are Circo.

Teddy is wearing a Gap Sag Harbor cardigan that Grandma bought over an H&M gingham button-up and Sonoma pants.  He requested his Gap Junk Food Star Wars shoes.  I would have gone for navy TOMS, but who I am I to argue over Star Wars shoes.

They insisted on posing with toys this morning.

Star Wars, Again

Yep, this shirt again.  Yesterday morning Tillie was digging in her closet for "fancy shoes" to wear and Ted was not to be left out.  He went in his closet and found a pair of Gap Junk Food Star Wars slip-ons I bought ahead in size 6.  (They were only $6 from $30!)  They're still a little big, but they're wearable.  He insisted on wearing them the rest of the day and today.  When I asked him what he wanted to wear today he said his Star Wars shoes AND his Star Wars shirt.  Tim was pretty happy about this.  His Gap "skinny" jeans aren't so skinny on him, but he'll be wearing them for awhile.  And hey!  Here's his new haircut!

Tillie's wearing a crewcuts bicycle tee over a tissue tee.  Her jeans are H&M.  She's pretty excited that the bike is carrying flowers. She wears snow boots to school, but she still wanted the TOMS she was going to wear at school to be in the picture.  (TOMS are on Zulily today for 40% off!  The mary jane ones are included, too.  Tillie picked out a red pair for me to order her.)

Moccasins

I got these Minnetonka moccasins for $1 at a garage sale this spring.  I'm not sold on the moccasin trend, but I figured I couldn't go wrong for one dollar.  As it turns out, it's pretty darn cute on him! (I kind of wish I had picked up the darker brown ones they also had in size 3 for any future kiddos, oh well!) He's wearing a Gap Junk Food tee and Carter's shorts as well.

Spring Break Buckets

I decided to have a new tradition this year with "Spring Break Buckets".  I bought tin Easter buckets last year after Easter and I have them setting on the kitchen table every morning of Spring Break with a little treat in them.  Today they found a coloring book(Target Dollar Spot) and a t-shirt(pulled from their bins of clothes they haven't worn).

Tillie got a new crewcuts gardeining tee.  She's also wearing her chambray ruffle skirt, Old Navy white layering tank and new yellow Salt-Water sandals.    Yeah, I know it was only 50* today.  When we ran errands she put on leggings and TOMS, but she was excited for the new sandals(Amazon using Discover cashback bonus).  As soon as I put them on she said, "Mom, you can take my picture at the beach with a pail and shovel and these sandals.  It will be beautiful."  No, I don't know where she gets it.  Certainly not me.

Also of note, my sister Kizie got matching yellow sandals this year.  I'm jealous.  At least I have red ones!

Teddy's wearing his new Gap JunkFood tee.  It's size 12-18m and is huge.  He'll be able to wear it this summer at Camp for sure.  I know I don't usually go for licensed shirts, but for some reason I'm okay with the JunkFood line for boys.  Plus, I got this super-cheap last fall and it says "Camp".  It was hard to resist.  All of his pants were in the wash, so I pulled a pair of 18-24m Old Navy jeans out of his bin.  They don't have adjustable waist and are too big.  Surprise, surprise.  I wanted to add a bodysuit for some extra layering, but all the plain white ones were also in the wash.  I found this Gap Outlet polo bodysuit in his 12-18m spring clothes.  I got it for $1 at a garge sale.  I don't really love this outfit, but I think it's because the pants and tee are too big.  It's not the kind of look I go for.  We'll try it again in 4 months.  Maybe then it will work.
